on the 29th of September 2011 not released Minecraft Beta 1.9 pre-release 2 and it was downright groundbreaking in this update players received new blocks like cauldrons items like blaze powder they got nine new music discs for crying out loud along with all of these additions a little feature called hardcore mode locks the difficulty to hard and forces users to delete their entire world save data and everything in it upon death oh and you can also drink milk now with misery being but a click away players got to play in and players got to die in and losing everything is quite sad actually look at this guy spent an entire year on his world died to count how about this one guy’s just walking along gets hit off forgot to put his Electro on dead well now it’s my turn to die kind of I’ve got a dragon in my world and I’m still starving my base is made from nearly a million emerald and I’m and I’m still starving I have all of these chests and none of them have food I have all of these illegal items but I can’t Sprint because I’m starving hang on speaking of illegal items I I think I got an idea okay I got some space down here this should do yeah no this would be perfect this would be great this this will work yeah know this is fantastic this is this okie dokie let’s just introduce these guys to existence and then they can start producing me food uh armor I’m sure this was supposed to be food no okay it literally says armor right there don’t judge me I’m new to this game okay now we just have to find some emeralds there are usually some kicking about yeah there we go just a random just I don’t even know how that got there I don’t know can I get a chi-ching sound effect now we buy all of their food and throw it back at them until they make more babies can I get a ch- Ching sound effect okay let’s expand this operation that’s it there we go there we go okay finally so now we can buy some golden carrots from these guys cuz if it’s not plated in gold is it really food okay we don’t really have space for anyone who’s not selling me gold carrots so if you don’t do that then you must die oh wait I forgot they put the prices up when you kill them well they’re really holding this against me 32 emeralds okay let’s just start a quick raid and see if that helps it didn’t it didn’t help yeah no they still hate me okay fair enough well we got all of these so that should last at least half this video okay this seems like a good place to build this thing oh wait I haven’t even explained all right one sec one sec hang on here we go here we go all right here this this right here we’re building the death screen but like so much bigger and it’s going to be so convincing I’m going to use it for the thumbnail and no one’s going to be able to tell the difference what is this thing first we need to grab some materials oh wait I forgot I don’t have any material first we need to collect some materials okay let’s build up here and find the height for this thing yeah I think that’s I think that’s a good hike I think we should start with the game over part cuz that seemed like a good place to start okay we got a g now we need an aim so now I think if we go two out and then start the next letter yeah that works Okie DOI we got our first words now we need a space I don’t know how how big should a space be I’m going to say about there yeah that the shadows for the words and for that we’re going to use some gray wool which we will extract from some sheep against their will hey you sheep that’s it come on come on there we go make the make go away make the thing okay so it turns out that Forest that I destroyed in the last episode is the perfect spawning ground for sheep come on you’re a cow yeah you’re a cow you’re a cow come on sheep come on and you behind the tree I see you yeah come on all right guys enjoy this space while you have it cuz let me tell you it’s not going to last very long okay so now for the Shadows so it kind of looks like everything goes down and then to the right that should be simple enough okay that looks right so now we just follow that formula for the rest of it and Boom game over okay that’s looking decent okay so now we have to do the Kanani was killed by message underneath so I guess we got to decide what it’s going to say how do I die I feel like my cats should be involved somehow maybe they get revenge on me for blowing them up that one time two times okay okay there were a few times but that’s not enough we need something else okay what about something like I’m just walking along right all of a sudden 300 caps come out of nowhere and start beating me up I survive that but then as I’m walking away I get struck by lightning and die yep we’ll roll with that okay I have spent about 10 minutes meticulously counting all these pixels and I’m pretty sure it’s going to go 60 now and 70 across and that should be where the message [Music] starts okay colani was struck by lightning but that’s obviously not enough to kill me so Kanani was struck by lightning whilst fighting cat that’s more like it now let’s sheer these sheep and put in the shadows so now we need to collect some yellow flowers build a bigger pen and turn most of these sheep yellow whoops that is really confusing to look at from down here anyways then we can share the Sheep to make the score number I’m thinking something like 3 b259 m 93624 n yeah I’m looking at around the sort of three billion range okay I’ve just realized it’s kind of out of Center but as long as we don’t look at it it’s fine okay so now we’re going to do the spectate world button so I guess we’ll start with the black outline and for that we’re going to use a black material okie dokie so I think we’re going to come out about there that seems that seems good okay looks good now there is this like lighter strip here so so I think for that we’ll use light gray concrete powder I think that’s the closest match there but unfortunately light gray concrete powder is one of the few blocks in this game that actually listen to Gravity so let’s just run along with some wood here just like that and then that that should be able to hold the concrete powder all right guys I just need to borrow some ink sacks real quick now we just need some bones it’s a good thing I got an entire mob spawner of this build okay I look like a porcupine but I think we have enough [Music] bones looks good okay now we have this darker patch and for that I guess we’ll just use a darker gray concrete I guess that makes sense yep that works that works might be slightly too dark but I think it’s possible okie dokie so now we have this big Stone section and for that we’re going to use dirt I’m kidding I’m just trying to get to the stones down here here it is here it is to make this more interesting I’m going to set myself a challenge my goal is to do this entire thing without making one mistake that didn’t didn’t last long this is not going well okay it didn’t exactly go to plan but you know if you if you look close you can see a few mistakes there okay let’s have a look let’s see I can’t there’s a cloud in the way that’s okay we just wait we just wait this this is a big cloud just wait for this Cloud here it comes here it comes here it comes here we go there it is okay great now we just do uh the exact same thing again we do it’s kind of starting to look like something so now I guess we can do the Crosshair which goes hang on a second let me let me just count these pixels and pretty sure it goes here and I was wrong about that how how was I that far off okay brilliant that’s more like it okay now you may have noticed Crosshair is on a different level to everything else and now we’re going to build the item bar which by my calculations starts here I’m going to do the same thing I’m going to build it one block below everything else hang on a second I think I’ve done this on the wrong level Bob Ross once said we don’t make mistakes we have happy accidents but there’s nothing happy about this okay let’s grab grab some yeah we’ll grab some of that grab some Stone cuz now we got to do these here item slots they look pretty textured but I think I think there is a pattern there it’s slightly darker in the middle so let’s use some black glass okay let’s have a look simple but effective let’s make more of them okay this is the slot that we’re going to be you know holding the item in our hand so it looks slightly different let’s grab some quartz oh hello there and let’s get some sand I’ve taken so many materials from the surface now that there are hardly any I got to get him from the ocean let’s extend the Border slightly like that I think then we’ll go quartz and I’m going to try this block I don’t know what it’s going to look like but slap some Stone on there hey that looks pretty good actually yeah that looks good now just place the black glass and done so now we got to do hey get off get off so now we got to do the XP bar which is going to be pretty simple let’s just come out by two and then run it all the way along just like that so now for the actual XP bit we got to get some green blocks so we got some green blocks in here this is my cactus farm we can get some green blocks from here and then we just come down here and then we can smelt this C Cactus and turn it into green dye I love this thing this is the best thing I’ve ever built there we go we got some green and lime dye I’m pretty sure there’s a green terra cotta block no I’m not seeing any green terra cotta blocks what about this is there any green blocks in here no what if I do that oh there we go okay okay that should be enough different green blocks let’s try and make something here okay great but that’s definitely not enough XP oh [Music] no okay so I think I’m just going to copy the exact amount of XP that I already have and I’m pretty sure it ends right there on the 10th bar so now the rest is in sort of darker gray blocks which is easy we’ve already got those now come on guys don’t be like this don’t be like this next up hearts or you know lack their off but obviously these hearts are not alive they’re dead so you know we got to make them dark and I’ve staggered some of the hearts cuz when you die the hearts sort of jump around so I think that looks right 821 levels of XP one sec I’ve forgotten how you do it too okay I got got this i got this like that and now we know that the two is Central we know where the eight and the one go beside it Bingo 821 levels of XP now we do the hunger bar or the meat sticks I don’t what what even are these things I mean the bones I get I understand that but if these meat sticks are supposed to represent food then then why do they look so raw I’m actually going to change I think Spruce planks might yeah that works better it just really adds to the raw skin look okay let’s have a look from the viewing platform oh okay this this viewing platform sucks now let’s let’s make a new one there we go well looks good I guess we’re done here psych we’re not oh yeah no but seriously no no we’re not we’re not done no now now the actual hard bit begins so yeah another day another innocent animal’s habitat destroyed I am sorry about this but you know when you need sand you need sand Okie doie there smel all this up now we just need some red dye which I believe are from these flowers no and I think you just yeah you just do a bit of this here and then we can turn all of this into red dye and then turn all of this into red glass just like that okay now the reason why this was on a different level is because we’re going to cover it in red glass just like that and then that will give the effect of you know the death screen so now we just got to do that everywhere yep that’s my elytra that okay let’s create the border the outline and then we can really see what we’re dealing with here [Music] hang on a second whoa hang on a second have I just done half of this on the wrong level that is on a different level okay what we’re going to do is just go over it like this we’re just going to do this and now we should meet up yes okay okay um what this clearly demonstrates is two things one this was a big mistake and two we’re going to need a lot of glass when I say when I say a lot of glass let me just explain to you what I mean by that about that much glass which is quite a lot of glass to be fair so for that we’re going to use a sand duper because I’ve basically collected all the sand nearby there there’s none left okay let’s check these chests some Redstone stuff any Redstone stuff in here nope just Bedrock hang on a second there’s some Redstone stuff oh there’s a whole load of redstone stuff I should really take this down at some point it’s very big and ugly and I do not use it ever okay let’s grab this and boom that should be enough Redstone stuff I think now we just got to find my world stronghold is somewhere around here I’m pretty sure Bingo now we just got to destroy we got to what is this doing here we got to empty this room we got to make some space most annoying mob in the game award goes to silverfish okay we got to delete these frames so we’re going to use the mushroom method but I forgot to bring dirt to plant the mushroom on there got to be some dirt around here somewhere right not so far but we found some diamonds okay we found some more diamonds okay we found some more I I just want some dirt to be honest okay how is it that I came out of that with 53 diamonds and not one block of dirt then dirt mushroom and bone meal and that should y there we [Music] go okay now I think we just do that and uh how how do how do I turn this thing off please stop please okay okay good and then I think we just Place sand here and then turn it on right yeah right yeah and then we just go through the portal and then it will feed the sand through onto the other it’s not it’s not maybe I need to destroy the obsidian okay let’s just quickly build something to collect the sand and these trip wires should apparently stop the obsidian from spawning every time we come to the end let’s go grab some Shuler boxes I got a load at the emerald Farm hey that’s looking a bit smaller than usual oh wait yeah no that’s my old one isn’t it there there there we go okay let’s just come up in here and yoink all of this all right well I guess those trip wise didn’t work then this is nowhere near enough Shuler boxes but I don’t have anym so we’ll start here okay I think I know what I did wrong with the whole obsidian thing let’s try this okay scratch that I have no clue what I’m doing okay now I know I definitely know what I was doing wrong now I forgot the part that makes complete sense where you click the string with shears in a specific pattern and it stops the obsidian why didn’t I think of that so obvious all right let’s try this okay well it kind of worked last thing we need to do is make a chunk loader so let’s make one up here uh yep that works now we just flick it on and jump through and the obsidian here and I can’t destroy it it just respawned okay you know what change of plan I’ll just collect it myself I’ll just make a staircase here I just collect it myself whoa this thing is wao this thing’s actually insane look at this yield look at this look at that okay they’re all full every single one of them it didn’t even take that long why is it taking me this long to build a sand duper all right let’s cook this up let’s cook this’s yeah this ain’t going to be big enough I think it I think it’s time to extend yeah we’re just going to make this thing thicker double the thickness double the speed [Music] this yeah this this is what we’re talking about this is the type of furnace that I deserve and then if we pop these here then we can grab some of these and place them on top and that will constantly feed the chests which will constantly feed the furnaces let’s flick this thing on and see if it actually works oh yeah oh yeah that works let’s see how fast it is that’s that’s pretty that’s pretty quick and let’s actually destroy this cuz I think I got a better idea so if we place empty shulker boxes down here then they can all fill up and then when they’re full like these you can then just collect them put them over here and then just replace them and [Music] repeat hang on whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa no one comes near my glass buddy no one comes near my glass but me okay finally we just need some bones and actually these chests might come in handy okay let’s make some bone meal and get this red dye how much red dye you ask all of it okay and then we can just do this and then and then replace these with the red stained glass okay these are all full it’s time to do what we came here to do let’s Place some blocks why do I feel like I need to psych myself up for this why am I slightly nervous why do I hear Boss music okay we got a full inventory let’s see how far that gets us okay not far not very far at all yeah I’m really starting to question whether or not this uh practical joke was really worth it all right it’s it’s time to lock in and life we’re almost there I can smell it we got to be close it’s got to be yep there we are right the last block we’re actually at the last block okay are we actually done I mean come on I mean come on you got to admit that’s cool I can’t see anything hang a second can you can you turn off Cloud yeah you can yeah that would have been helpful so long ago hang on how how many blocks have I Place block check 115,000 yeah no I think that’s I think that’s the record that’s more than the emerald blocks and that’s saying something trust me okay let’s find the center of this thing which I believe is here okay let’s let’s frame this right we probably need to come down probably need to come down a few more now if we place a glass pane that’s something thin that we can stand on and then we can also probably see through it right okay there’s a big red block okay let’s try a normal glass panel you can probably see through those better let’s try okay no that’s even worse we just need some kind of see-through block that we can stand on I mean I do have a barrier block but I don’t really want to use that cuz my museum of illegal items will be very incomplete without a barrier block unless we can duplicate it but I don’t know is that a thing in this can you duplicate things in this version there’s got to be some some kind of duplication glitch right okay so apparently let’s just clear some space here apparently if you place TNT a lever and then a chest and then you do this and then you take and then you oh wait how does it go again okay abort abort wait if this doesn’t work does this mean I lose my barrier block we may be risking the barrier block here worth it okay so you go like this and then you go like that and you put that in and then you hold down one hold down one and then uh no way no way that actually worked we got two barrier blocks that was really easy that was where’ it go it just vanished did it not just vanish were there not two barrier blocks there just one second ago okay you’re seeing that right you’re seeing that but now we’ve just got one okay I I don’t think this is working going to try one more time right I’ve got it in my hand but now if I yeah okay yep that doesn’t work okay I think this is the best we’re going to get just try and ignore that giant Red Cube there well there we have it some will ask if it was worth it you know they’ll
