  1. One time I needed orange wool so I dyed and sheared a bunch of sheep, and a couple days later someone else in the server was really confused why they found like 12 orange sheep in the wild

  2. Hear me out, it’s probably pretty rare for someone to dye this many sheep pink.

This reminds me of that one seed where this actually happens. I don’t remember the seed number, just that it exists.

Basically, there was a forest near the spawn where every sheep was pink. This was astronomically unlikely so people dug into the code to figure it out. Sheep spawn in packs, these packs have 4 sheep, and each sheep can be any of the three normal colors, weighted towards white. Every pack in a biome will spawn with the same distributions, but there is a rare chance that a sheep will spawn pink despite what the pack is normally like.

In that seed, the pack everyone was based on happened to all be pink. Still extremely unlikely, but no longer “this wouldn’t happen in 10^100000 years” unlikely.
