Someone on another post also said about how low the rainbow shards score as they have no iridium quality.

I always try to have one high quality item from every category: artisan, crop, mineral, cooked items, fish, and animal products too. Try not to have duplicates too!

Variety counts for a substantial amount of points. In order to maximize points you have to have at least 6 different categories, if I recall your options are animal products, artisan goods, fish, minerals, cooking, vegetables, and fruits. Even without as high quality items you can easily win even in year 1 if you have variety.

  4. I mean, I got 88 with random crap like green beans, melons, hardwood, diamond, and some fish.

You need to put different stuff out there.

  5. as others said variety is important, but so is quality… items with no quality levels cant get the bonus points for that. So that’s 2 sources of points you didn’t get.
