Eh kinda. Its really just about a piercing weapon. But yes, a weapon with no pierce makes Destroyer torture

No. He is genuinely easy if you know how to fight him, which goes for berry boss. In destroyers case, do not let the small drones live for longer than they need to…yes they give you hp when dying, but if they get to swarm you because you focus down the body, you WILL die.

Classic used to be the only difficulty, expert and master were added later.
Destroyer is the easiest mechanic boss to kill on classic.

I accidentally cheesed him 😭 built a sky bridge with gaps and soon realized he couldn’t reach me. The goal was to outrun him with him right behind me but all I had to do was take pot shots for 5 minutes
