Hey everyone!
I just started playing a little while ago, I’m in my first winter and I can’t seem to make my coop and barn animals happy.
I bought a heater, the hay is full and yet they’re „looking a little thin“.
Is there anything I missed or need to change?

There isn’t any food in their feed trough. Until you have purchased more upgrades for your coop, you have to put the food in their trough by hand.
You have to put the food in the trough on the back for them. Just having it in the hopper doesn’t make it available to them.
It took me a while to find out how to feed the animals
upgrade the barn enough and there will be an automatic feeder

You have to feed your animals.
See that bench at the back? It’s empty. You need to place hay there every day, one for each animal. To the left is the hay dispenser. Click on it and it’ll dish out the number of hay for each animal. Then walk to the bench with the hay selected in inventory and click on it. This will fill the bench.
If you’re in any season except winter, you can offset this by planting grass around the building and letting your animals out to eat it (which also improves friendship). They’ll eat the grass instead of the hay, but remember on rainy days, they’ll eat the hay instead so it’ll have to be restocked the next day.
You gotta give them hay!
