These Minecraft Players Were BANNED By Mojang…

two years ago now Minecraft had one of its most controversial updates ever 1.19.1 where chat reporting was added to the game this meant that like the controversial Bedrock Edition players on Java could now be banned from playing the game if they were reported however what many of you might not know is that behind the scenes Mojang has also manually gone out of their way to ban a small selection of extremely unique players for doing things much more notorious who are these players why were they banned and how did some of them trick Microsoft right in front of their eyes the first band Player we will discuss is actually a group of players originating from the infamous Anarchy server 2 b2t the fifth column as they are known began as a group of Griefers who are known for griefing a variety of extremely notable bases on 2b2 t dating Back to December 2020 the group has made a variety of appearances in YouTube videos such as a handful from fitmc notorious for their dedication to Unique trolling alongside their griefing but what would really put them on the map would be their Discord bot and Minecraft mod known as copen Heimer copen Heimer exploited the fact that many Minecraft servers are run by individuals who don’t know how to properly secure them they had a Discord bot that would scan the internet for Minecraft servers with the port 25565 Minecraft’s default server port and would then check for various properties of the server such as if it had wh list enabled or if it was in offline mode it was also able to see what players had been on what servers recently using copen Heimer fifth column would then begin locating the IP addresses to small streamers and YouTubers Minecraft servers through their username and then if the streamer or YouTuber didn’t enable Whit list on the server which is often the case as they don’t expect anybody to find it without manually giving out the IP they would join the server mess with the streamer or while they were still live they would then often grief the server leaving the streamer or YouTuber in a state of absolute shock at what had just transpired often resulting in a reaction or grief entertaining enough that they would upload a video about it on their YouTube channel someone is griefing on the server and destroying my builds I have someone my up he just came in here and started destroying my you died no I know the fifth column would even develop a mod for the game that allowed them to utilize the server scanner in game to search for and join servers with far greater ease using an actual GUI understandably this kind of unique and very trollish style of griefing would attract quite the bit of attention especially so because not only did they find Jeb on his private Minecraft server and kill him but they also found the Mojang officers official private Minecraft server and grief that now obviously this behavior is somewhat morally questionable I’m not here to take aide on whether what they do is right or wrong but it’s undeniable that some of the reactions they elicited from the the entirely confused and be wooded streamers are extremely entertaining and provide quite a tinge of nostalgia to the earlier days of Minecraft where griefing and Trolling Videos were much more common but it seemed that in April of 2023 their hot streak of trolling and griefing would meet its untimely end on April the 13th 2023 the fifth column would become the first ever Minecraft players to be banned from the game for griefing but first this video is sponsored by manscaped code Mr epic manscape.com epic did you know that the very iconic Steve skin is not actually smiling here in fact this is actually his goatee I think Steve really needs the handyman manscapes compact face shaver equipped with a unique jewal blade there you go Steve wait hang on a second we weren’t done yet what are you doing in your underwater conduit powered base that’s no problem though as not only is the handyman compact but it’s also waterproof so you and Steve can shave in the shower where clean up is easy or your underwater conduit powered base looking good Steve now unlike Steve me and you have to worry about about getting Nick and cuts which are Super annoying and irritating my least favorite part of Shaving personally but luckily the handyman is equipped with manscape skin safe technology specifically designed to help reduce ncks and cuts for a smooth and comfortable shave but my favorite thing about the handyman is it 60-minute battery life one time I was shaving in the morning before going to UNI and mid shave my electric shaver ran out of battery I was genuinely late for uni because I had to wait 30 minutes for it to recharge the handyman will never let that happen as it has a low battery level indicator and a quick fire minute recharge so luckily I won’t be looking like Steven is underwater base ever again get the handyman today using my Link manscape.com epic and get 20% off and free international shipping by using my code Mr Epic during checkout anyways besides being the first players to be banned from the game for griefing they also became the first ever players to be banned from Minecraft manually by Mojang as well a handful of fifth column members were banned 10 Minecraft Java accounts in total all of which banned for over 4,100 days over 11 years years basically a permanent ban for abusive language used in a directed harmful manner but that’s not actually why they were banned in fact the real reason for their ban isn’t even a potential ban reason that can be displayed here the fifth column obviously confused about their sudden and abrupt ban emailed support and was told by the Minecraft moderation team that the account received a permanent suspension due to a violation of our guidelines we have evidence of you using a Hacked Client to cause harm to other players due to the severity of these V violations it was determined that the account could no longer be trusted to access Minecraft servers we will not be restoring access to this account other fifth column members who appealed also got very similar emails further inquiry to Microsoft support led to one member getting a reply with this screenshot making it abundantly clear that they were in fact banned for griefing and the use of hacked versions of the game and this ban was permanent and would not be overturned now tens of thousands of Minecraft players have in the past used hacked clients to cause harm to to other players but clearly Mojang seemed to draw the line at the repeated griefing of other players on their own private servers the fifth column did some digging and seemed to narrow the source of their ban down to two or three specific videos which all contained the accounts which were banned so whether or not the individuals in these videos decided to report them to Mojang or someone else reported the videos after seeing them is still unknown but it seems like that was likely the case one of the fifth column members named orend would make a tweet about their ban which actually got Notch’s attention sparking a rather interesting discussion as many of the servers the fifth column griefed had rather questionable and offensive builds in them but despite this all nothing would change their bands would remain or would they about a month later another one of the fifth column members was able to get their account unbanned by sending an email that effectively stated they had understood what they did was wrong and upon reexamination of the community standards would ensure they wouldn’t break the guidelines again he basically said sorry we won’t do it again in a very formal way after this appeal was initially denied out of the blue another Minecraft mod team member would chime in mentioning that after further consideration the moderation team had elected to lift the ban as the fifth column member had since acknowledged the behavior that transpired and committed to adhering to the guidelines there was a Stern warning though that any future violations would result in a permanent ban the other members would all basically send the same ban appeals alongside a bit of trolling such as where Oren convinced one of the Minecraft moderation team members to apologize for giving an incorrect ban reason stating that he was rather offended to see hate speech given as the ban reason as he and his friends do not condone such behavior and actively speak out about the topic pretty funny all the band members of the fifth column would be unbanned they were given one final chance and as you can imagine being as so fortunate to be given a second chance they changed their ways vowing never to grief a server again as of this video the fifth column have griefed over 600 twitch streamers servers and have even crashed the quy S SMP for 3 days straight with an exploit they basically told the Minecraft moderation team we’re sorry will never do it again then proceeded to instantly do it again and upload another 25 more griefing videos to their Channel still remaining unbanned to this day so much for that Stern and warning about future violations resulting in a permanent ban so that’s the story of the first ever players to be banned from Minecraft and also the story of how they got unbanned but what about a player who was banned and Still Remains banned to this very day many of you would know the duper Trooper one of the most notorious anti- pay to win and duping Minecraft YouTube channels now what makes juper trooper’s case so interesting is the mystery behind his bands juper Trooper happens to have not one not two but seven accounts which have been banned let’s start with his main account juper trooper’s main account the juper trooper happened to be banned in April of 2023 as well unlike the fifth column though juper trooper’s account was also compliance locked let me explain as I have already showed you accounts can be banned from Minecraft meaning you are unable to play multiplayer with them but accounts can also be banned through a different method known as compliance or account locks this is where in addition to being banned from multiplayer you can no longer even log into the Microsoft account to even play Minecraft this generally happens when activity associated with the account violates Microsoft terms of service the most common case scenario being when Minecraft accounts are stolen or sold you see there exists a large community online dedicated to buying and selling Minecraft accounts with rare or as they are known OG usernames as well as containing rare capes some of which have sold for tens of thousands of dollars it’s extremely lucrative however there are two issues with this practice first of all buying and selling Minecraft accounts is against Minecraft’s terms of service it’s strictly not allowed second of all because many of the accounts with OG usernames were made early on in Minecraft’s existence and as such they either do not have as good account security as modern accounts or are mostly abandoned many of these accounts are initially obtained prior to being sold through theft or social engineering as I’ve talked about in videos in the past basically people find ways to steal the accounts because Mojang doesn’t want accounts to be bought and sold and obviously doesn’t want stolen accounts to be bought and sold if they catch accounts which have had this happen to them they lock them meaning they can’t be accessed ever again effectively Banning them now not all accounts are caught and locked and nobody knows exactly what triggers Microsoft to lock certain accounts but it’s rumored that it often happens when accounts details like their Associated emails change out of the blue or the accounts are logged into from different locations juper Trooper also happened to buy and sell OG Minecraft Accounts at one point and has since had six accounts locked including OG ones with usernames such as porridge one of those accounts also happened to be juper Trooper which he paid someone to name snip for him as he wasn’t the original owner of that username but interestingly that isn’t the story with his main account the juper trooper around the same time the fifth column members were all banned duper’s main Minecraft account was banned as well and on top of that it was also compliance locked but this account was not sold nor stolen he had owned it for years so why was it banned well he doesn’t exactly know the ban Still Remains to this day and because he can’t even access the Microsoft Account J compliance lock it means he can’t appeal the ban the same way the fifth column members did he does suspect it may have to do with his potentially negative reputation amongst Microsoft and Mojang though juper told me that when he bought the OG account named porridge he mentioned not long after on a live stream that he had done so and the very next day upon waking up the account was locked was that timing pure coincidence or was there potentially a merging employee who heard through the stream that the account was bought and then locked it maybe someone reported that juper had said the account was purchased to Mojang we don’t know but juper suspects that his main account of the juper trooper was banned because he was once active in the OG names community and also potentially because of the ramp and duping he has participated in for some years now a rather unique case and scenario overall especially so because of the timing of the ban coincided so similarly with the fifth column members bans so maybe a Mojang moderator just decided to go ham and ban a bunch of people one week what’s even more interesting though is despite this brief period where a bunch of notorious Minecraft players were banned nothing similar has occurred since even though the exact same things happen arguably even more so today I hope you enjoyed the video make sure to check out manscape at manscape.com Epic and use code Mr Epic Jo checkout for 20% off and free shipping be sure subscribe thank you all so 1. like most ppl im glad the fifth column was banned, however it was handled immensely stupidly, id even say delving into unprofessionalism

should've been handled with clear 'you are banned bc this' and not some against guidelines bullshit'

hell because the situation is so unique they don't even have to use the guidelines as an excuse

  2. P2W servers are also often large, and bring traffic to the game, so… yeah, Microsoft probably didn't like their profits being harmed. Scummy, but, corporations, am I right?

  3. I think it's "great" that you call it entertainment because of the reactions of the owners of destroyed server maps… I remember that on the map I played for 2 years, where I spent around 6-8 hours a day building, I was simply destroyed by such players, believe me I wasn't amused by it

I had a backup but lost interest in it and didn't play Minecraft for 4 years

  4. What exactly does it take to get out of a permaban?
I use to think you had to delete every single scrap of information in your account then factory reset your devices to create an entirely new account from complete scratch.
But no from what I heard that doesn’t work.

  5. In all honesty using a hacked client to break into various severs including private ones is something that’s most certainly borderline illegal.
If anything the fifth clan got off easy.
They legit could’ve possibly been sent to jail.

  6. The Fifth Column has gone too far when they made the bot to find random people's ip. It's okay to grief in a server that advertised grief. But to grief a random person's server? I know that Microsoft/Mojang should've turned whitelisted on by default but still.

  7. Why is getting banned such a big deal to the fifth column though? If they wanna grief so bad just buy new accounts. I mean yeah if the account is old, has a good name and memories it makes sense no one wants to get banned, but if u're griefing private minecraft servers something tells me you don't care about that lol

  8. Imagine just chillin on your own server not bothering anyone, and suddenly basment dweller mr.mcfuckface spawns in just to ruin your day cause he's a raging little loser in real life and thinks bulling people online makes him cool, all because you didn't know enought about server security to properly protect your server

  9. Considering that DuperTrooper is known for finding duplication glitches. I can imagine that Mojang is always paying close attention

  10. TBh I'm fine with trolling and griefing… as long as it's within friends. but doing it to random people minding their buisiness is just plain ass annoying
