How to Change your Gender, Name & Appearance in Stardew Valley

Hello friends and welcome back if you’ve ever been playing stardew and you’ve kind of thought to yourself you know what this just isn’t right anymore you’ve crafted clothes and you’ve worn different things but more than just that needs to change well don’t worry because you can change all of that today I’m going to tell you how to change your gender and your appearance and other things about your character in stardew Valley when you start a brand new save file in sardu Valley you’re allowed multiple options you can name your farmer choose their gender their favorite thing their hair color and more but maybe your favorite thing has changed maybe you want your name to be different or your gender or really any part of your character all of this is possible with the shrine of Illusions the shrine of Illusions can be located in the basement of the Wizard’s Tower you can offer 500 gold to the shrine to change your appearance your name your favorite thing and your gender the Wizard’s basement becomes accessible from a trap door in his house when the player has at least four hearts with him it can also be accessed through a red portal in the witch’s Hut as soon as the witch’s Hut is accessible so first let’s start with how to befriend the wizard and get four hearts with him you can give the wizard up to two gifts per week plus one on his birthday which will raise or lower their friendship level with you gifts on the Wizard’s birthday which is the 17th of winter have an eight times effect and show a unique dialogue here are the Wizard’s loved gifts the book of mysteries purple mushroom solar Essence super cucumber and void Essence his liked gifts are all Universal likes the aridium Box and quartz gift these things to the wizard to quickly increase your friendship level with him however be careful not to gift him the following eggs milk shurell common mushroom daffodil dandelion Ginger hazelnut Holly leak magma cap Morel salmon Berry slime snow yam Wild Horse rat or winter root it’s a long list of dislikes but the wizard does not like these things the man knows what he wants and that’s just what he dislikes that’s not even what he hates he hates all the universal hate items it’s a lot so I’m not going to list them all here but you can find a list of the universally hated items meaning everyone in the village hates them on the stardew valley Wei so that’s some basic knowledge on gaining friendship with the wizard now let’s talk about the witch and the Witch’s Hut this is a little bit more complex and probably further in game so if you’re new in the game and you want to unlock the Wizard’s basement I suggest just becoming friends with the wizard first you must find the witch’s swamp it’s in an underground location that becomes accessible after completing the dark Talisman Quest the cave which leads to the swamp is located at the Northeast part of the railroad area found within the witch’s swamp protected by her henchmen is the witch’s Hut the dark Talisman Quest becomes available after you complete the community center or all the jojamart bundles you’ll have to go to kobis to talk about it I’ll go more in depth about this in a later video all I’ll say for now is be sure to bring some void mayonnaise with you you know just in case you need it to kind of get someone out of your way to try and get into the witch’s Hut inside the witch’s Hut there are three shrines and also the Wizard’s missing Magic ink it is on a table in a purple bottle also a red teleportation Rune on the ground returning the Magic ink to the wizard unlocks the Five magic buildings for your farm stepping on the red Rune will teleport the player directly to the Wizard’s Tower basement room once you have gained four hearts of Friendship with the wizard the teleportation runes located in the witch’s cut and the Wizard’s Tower basement can be used at any time to teleport between the two locations however prior to earning four Hearts the player will be teleported to the Wizard’s basement from The Witch’s Hut but will not be able to return your best bet if you want to access the Wizard’s basement early in game is to Simply become good friends with the wizard and giving him gifts that he likes and loves talking to him often and especially giving him things on his birthday once you are in the Wizard’s basement you can access the shrine of Illusions from here you’ll have options to design your character just as you did at the beginning of your save file your name your gender your hair your eyes your favorite thing it’ll cost a small sum but you can do this as many times as you like some fun facts if you decide to change some things on your character changing your character’s name to include item spawn codes triggers and Easter egg changing your favorite thing to be concerned ape or anything containing stardew gives a special dialogue when collecting a stardrop and there you have it that’s how to change your gender and
