He is a very uniquely designed boss. Unlike the other bosses, Golem is fought in a very confined space, making player's movement very restricted. The thing is, this boss uses this space perfectly.

His pattern is rather simple – he shoots fireballs that ricochet around the arena, jumps towards the player, fires his fists, and shoots lasers on lower health. His attack patterns are very unpredictable and random, but doesn't feel unfair unlike other ''randomized'' bosses like plantera and the destroyer, or so. He only shoots moderate amount of fireballs, thereby making the fight difficult, but not making the attacks undodgeable and unfair.

Some people find this boss too easy, but I remember that this boss got hugely buffed in 1.4.5, and I found this boss kinda difficult on my first master mod playthrough.

This boss does have some flaws, such as the arena room being too tightly generated, but in my opinion he is one of the most cleverly designed boss in the entire game.
