try your hard mode Summoner staffs tier list let’s go spider great early hard mode staff but limited range B tier sanguine awesome range and damage but can be a pain to get a tier pirate super low Drop chance and low range why would anyone get this D tier blade awesome weapon that can carry you all the way to gollem when used right s tier optic fun to fight with but gets outperformed by the blade and sanguine staff B tier pygmy a good choice but overshadowed by the deadly sphere and Raven staff B tier desert tiger very hard to obtain but worth the grind a tier deadly sphere great against Golem but comes useless after that a tier Raven decent staff but it’s quickly replaced by better ones like the Zeno B tier Zeno best pre- pillar staff in the game excellent range and damage s tier Tempest the worst drop from duke fishron it needs to be buffed or replaced D tier Stardust Dragon my favorite staff great against Mulo and the pillars s tier Stardust cell the dragon staff is better C tier teror Prisma best staff in the game probably the coolest too hard to get but worth it s tier here’s my final full tier list

Stardust dragon is easily better than the terraprisma lmao
Honest as a summon main mostly agree but tempest and stardust cell are way better than you give them credit for especially stardust cell dragon maybe better for groups of enemies but single target STARDUST CELL SHREDS other than that though great tier list I mostly agree
Is the duke fishron that bad? I never use a summoner loadout so I don’t really know but I never thought it was a bad weapon

i feel like pygmy staff wouldve been a-tier if they didn’t remove needing it in your inventory for the tiki set. pretty sad that they removed that tbh. i feel like summoners already have very little progression steps to make so that just made summoner even easier than it already is 😭😭😭
bro is ranking based on if there's something better than the staff not the actual usefulness and compatibility with whips and other summoner items💀💀
My favorite is the desert tiger staff. Most the staffs are just numbers of minions but the star dust dragon and the tiger are 1 minion that gets stronger. I personally would like to see more 1 minion staffs
Summoner player here: id say this is very accurate. With two exceptions:
im the only person who plays summoner who doesnt view stardust cells as bad. I, personally, believe that the SD Cell staff belongs in B tier. Its actually not bad but os just over shadowed by the other end fame summons.
If you dont just use one type of summon, you can use SD cell minions to their maximum. Alone they dont do nearly as much damage as the dragon, but the dragon doesnt get the little guys on screen very well. If uou do an 80/20 split of the Dragon/Cell combo you got a good heavy hitter, and a good cleanup crew… Thisn… Is moot if youre whipstacking a boss, so… Not useful for bosses.
And my second excaption is that I would personally move the Deadly Sphere Staff into the D tier. I never found a good use for it, golem sure, but golem can be beat with a thumb up your own ass. It is a step up from the pirate staff, it can at least hit somethinff, but it seems just too crappy to actually hit regularly.
As a Sanguine Staff user, I agree with this, i even use it against EOL or at sometime even the Daytime Empress for the Terraprisma, and yes its on legendary mode For The Worthy

As a summoner main i can say that sanguine staff better than blade staff but harder to get but its so fun to play with
And the optic staff is good its good and sooo fun to play
And deadly sphere is so good i used it to kill the empress of light to get the tera prisma the deadly sphere staff is really underrated its the secend best choice to kill empress of light day time i tested almost all the staffs and the xeno and the deadly sphere was the best and the stardust weapons for sure but fr who kill the pillars after that kill the empress?

Why bladestaff viable against everything literally if you use all whips at once it will multiply summon tag dmg and deal thousands of dps use mod eich lets you use all whips at once the method is called whipstacking
As a person who always does summoned playthroughs, Sanguine is horrible, its rare and if you have trash luck and wont get a blood moon, just use blade staff until you get deadly sphere to get xeno

Terraprisma doesn’t qualify, it isn’t a staff.
Stardust cells work identically to xenos , you just never use them and don't know how good they are (tho dragon is available at the same stage)
Optic staff is great agaist plantera & golem, the exact bosses you need to exterminate before moving onto the next summon, plus they can handle enemies fairly well on their own which helps with plantera arena. The sharknado staff is optainable pre mech and is a very good summon against invasions.
The pirate staff is my go to golem weapon if i get it
i throw progression out the window and rush sanguine staff as soon as i get into hard mode and use it until right after plantera because daytime empress is next on my hit list
optic staff was the 1.3 equivalent of the blade staff. I always thought it was very sad to see no-one use it
