hey everyone welcome back if you’re new to stardew Valley the luau Festival celebrates the summer season where villagers gather on the beach to enjoy a delicious soup your goal as the player is to add an ingredient to enhance the soup and then to get a good response from the governor what this will do is gain you 60 friendship points from each villager in your social tab so if you’re a beginner don’t worry I’ve got you covered on what item you can bring now as you can see the beach is decorated everybody’s around so you can also talk to them for additional friendship points um now but back to the festivals highly so here are some of the ingredients that you can get for the festival to add to the soup now you only need one of any of these normal quality items doesn’t have to be a gold star or even a silver purple mushroom chanterelle largemouth bass Moral Mushroom also if you chose the fruit bats for your cave hopefully you might have either an apple apricot Peach orange or pomegranate in there remember don’t use forageables the governor’s not going to like any of those in the soup and you’re not going to get a good response um so just add that to the soup let Lewis know that it’s ready and enjoy the reaction from the governor good luck guys and go earn those friendship points [Music] watching and if you enjoyed this video please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for more hints and tips and I will see you in the following video [Music] [Music]

Easiest items to find to get best response (all have to be gold star): Artichoke, Cauliflower, Goat Cheese, Large Goat Milk, Chanterelle, Fairy Rose, Large Milk, Melon, Purple Mushroom, Truffle. *edit for 1.6 update, Gold Gtar Mayonnaise gives the best response as well.
If you're able to grow a gold star cauliflower in spring, save it to add in summer. You'll get 120 friendship points instead of 60.
Apparently he likes Fern, idk why, but he does. I put a gold star fern in the pot and the governor was pleased
I highly suggest adding the Mayor's Purple Shorts to the Luau Stew, definitely no downsides at all.
