Hey hi howdy and hello Friends! Wickedy here with your guide to all things hats and masks in Stardew Valley, there are potentially 94 fun options that you can dress up with in game, and I’ll be going over each way to obtain them and show off every one. Now, since there are so many, I have this list organized by how they are each found. If you are just looking for a specific hat, they are all listed in the description under the corresponding timestamp. And with the 1.5 update, 19 new hats were added. First, we have 32 different hats that you can get from Achievements. Once you unlock an achievement, you can begin to purchase these from the Hat Mouse in Cindersap forest for 1000 gold a piece. Greenhorn from Earning 15,000 gold unlocks the Good Ol’ Cap Cowpoke From Earning 50,000 Gold unlocks the Lucky Bow Homesteader From Earning 250,000 gold unlocks the Cool Cap Millionaire from Earning 1,000,000 gold unlocks Bowler Hat The Secret Achievements Legend from Earning 10,000,000 gold unlocks Sombrero Treasure Trove from donating 40 different items to the museum unlocks Blue Bonnet A Complete Collection from Completing the Museum unlocks Cowboy Hat A New Friend from reaching 5 hearts with someone unlocks Butterfly Bow Best Friends from reaching 10 hearts with someone unlocks Mouse Ears Cliques from reaching 5 hearts with 4 people unlocks Tiara Networking from reaching 5 hearts with 10 people unlocks Santa Hat Popular from reaching 5 hearts with 20 people unlocks Earmuffs The Beloved Farmer from reaching 10 hearts with 8 people unlocks Cat Ears Cook from cooking 10 different recipes unlocks Delicate Bow Sous Chef from cooking 25 different recipes unlocks Plum Chapeau Gourmet Chef from cooking every recipe actually unlocks two hats, the Archers Cap and the Chef Hat Moving Up from Upgrading your house unlocks the Tropliclip Living Large from Upgrading your house to the 2nd upgrade unlocks Hunter’s Cap DIY from crafting 15 different items unlocks Daisy Artisan from crafting 30 different items unlocks Trucker Hat Craft Master from crafting every item unlocks Gnome’s Cap Fisherman from catching 10 different fish unlocks Sou’wester Ol’ Marnier from catching 24 different fish unlocks the Official Cap Mother Catch from catching 100 fish unlocks Watermelon Band Master Angler from catching every fish unlocks Eye Patch Gofer from completing 10 help wanted requests unlocks the Polka Bow A Big Help from completing 40 help wanted requests unlocks Chicken Mask PolyCulture from shipping 15 of 28 specific crops unlocks Cowpoke Hat MonoCulture from shipping 300 of one crop unlocks Cowgal Hat Full Shipment from shipping every item unlocks Goblin Mask Elegant Turban can be unlocked after you have earned all the Achievements. There are 30 hats that you can make with Tailoring in the game, which can be done at Emily’s house or with the mini sewing machine with the 1.5 update. 8 of these are 1.5 hats, which are here at the end of this section. Dinosaur Hat can be crafted with a Dinosaur Egg Totem Mask can be crafted with one of the Totems Logo Cap can be crafted with a Lava Eel Wearable Dwarf Helm can be crafted with a Dwarvish Helm or Dwarf Gadget Fashion Hat can be crafted with a Caviar Pumpkin Mask can be crafted with a Jack-O-Lantern Hair Bone can be crafted with a Prehistoric Tibia Spotted Headscarf can be crafted with a Red Mushroom Beanie can be crafted with any of the 4 tree seeds Floppy Beanie can be crafted with Maple Syrup, Oak Resin of Pine Tar Fishing Hat can be crafted with one of these 7 fish Blobfish Mask can be crafted with a Blobfish Red Party Hat can be crafted with a Pizza Blue Party Hat can be crafted with a Chocolate cake Green Party Hat can be crafted with a Fish Taco Pirate Hat can be crafted with a Treasure Chest Flat Topped Hat can be crafted with Cranberry Sauce or Stuffing White Turban is also found another way, it can be crafted with a Sweet Gem Berry Golden Mask can be crafted with a Golden Mask artifact Propeller Hat can be crafted with a Miner’s Treat Bridal Veil can be crafted with a Pearl Ah my favorite Witch Hat can be crafted with a Golden Pumpkin There are 8 1.5 Tailored Hats that I’ll be going over now Radioactive Goggles can be crafted with a Radioactive Bar Swashbuckler Hat can be crafted with a Dragon Tooth Qi Mask can be crafted with a Qi Fruit Star Helmet can be crafted with a Mushroom Tree Seed Sunglasses can be crafted with a Cindershard Goggles can be crafted with a Bug Steak Forager’s Hat can be crafted with a Ginger Warrior Helmet can be crafted with an Ostrich Egg Okay, that’s it for Tailoring, Next Up we have Treasure rooms. These rooms can show up while spelunking in Skull cavern. You have a 1/26 chance of finding one of these 4 hats There is the Blue Cowboy Hat The Red Cowboy Hat The White Turban which is also crafted in tailoring And 1.5 introduced the Dark Cowboy Hat The Adventurers Guild has a few monster eradication goals that can award Hats, there are 4 Total this way. The skeleton Hat comes from Slaying 50 Skeletons The Hard Hat comes from slaying 30 Duggies The Arcane Hat comes from slaying 100 Mummies And the Knights Helmet comes from Slaying 50 Pepper Rexes 4 Different Hats can come from various Festivals The Straw Hat is awarded to you for winning the Egg Hunt your first time at the Egg Festival. You can buy extras at the Hat Mouse. Sailor’s Cap is awarded to you the first time you win the Fishing Competition at the Festival of Ice. You can buy extras at the Hat Mouse. You can buy the Fedora at the Fair for 500 star tokens. You can buy the Cone Hat from the Magic Shop Boat during the Night Market for either 5,000, 2,500 or 10,000 depending on the day. The Desert Trader Hats are up next, with 3 total. On Any day you can get the Green Turban for 50 Omni Geodes. On Odd numbered days you can get the Magic Cowboy Hat for 333 Omni Geodes On Even numbered days you can get the Magic Turban for 333 Omni Geodes The Island Trader at Ginger Island has three hats you can trade for. Small Cap is available on Mondays in exchange for 30 Taro Roots Bluebird Mark is available on Wednesdays in exchange for 30 Taro Roots And the Deluxe Cowboy Hat is available on Fridays in exchange for 30 Taro Roots. All of the rest of the hats are found each in their own unique way, let’s go over them all. The Squire’s Helmet can drop from slaying Metal Heads. It’s actually a guaranteed drop based on a unique number assigned to your save file. You will for sure find your first within slaying 99. Top Hat can be bought at the Casino for a mere 8,000 Qi coins You can put a Copper Pan on your head for a hat, you get this item after finishing the Fish Bundle in the Community Center. Extra’s are at Willy’s shop. Garbage Hat is found from searching garbage cans around town. It can show up after you’ve searched 20 cans with a 0.2% chance. The Mushroom Cap can be found while chopping down Mushroom Trees, you have a 1% chance. Likely the hardest hat to find on this list is the Living Hat. This has a 0.001% chance to be found while cutting weeds, or a 0.01% chance from Wilderness Golems. I have found it a few times now, so keep your eye out, it’ll happen when you least expect it! There is one hat that is platform exclusive, the Panda Hat. It’s only available to players using the TGP gaming platform. It’s unobtainable without mods otherwise. The rest of this list are all hats that you might consider fit within the Spoiler Category, as they are late game. To skip these, head to this time. First, we have a hat that you can get after finishing with Emily’s 14-heart event, it’s called Emily’s Magic Hat. At Ginger Island you’ll find golden coconuts, cracking these open has a 5% chance to get you the Golden Helmet. Fighting Tiger Slimes can give you the Tiger Hat as a drop, with a 0.1% chance. Fishing in the Gourmand Frogs’ Pond can catch you a Frog Hat In the Volcano on level 5, you can buy the Pink Bow for 10,000 gold from the dwarf here. You can find the Deluxe Pirate Hat inside of a Chest in the Volcano Dungeon. Wearing this hat, as well as the Eye Patch or Pirate hat while talking to the barkeep in the Pirate Cove will get you a free mead. Mr Qi’s Hat is able to be purchased with 5 Qi Gems in the Walnut Room And lastly, this Concerned Ape Mask, labeled ??? is available when you talk to the lava monkeys after you reach 100% Perfection in the game. That’s all the hats and how to get them all, there are a couple of uses for them as well. I already went over the uses for the Pirate-themed hats just a bit ago. The copper pan hat is also a copper pan that is used in panning for ore. We can also use hats in, of course, a cosmetic way. Hats can be placed on you, or on your children. You can also place one on your horse. If you want to get a hat off of the horse, just use another hat to pop the first on off. Sea Urchins in your fish tanks can wear any hat. And the Alien Rarecrow can wear hats too. Oh, and you can put it on a sign if you want as well. So friends, which hat is your favorite on this list? Mine is, of course, the Witch Hat.
