All Hidden Secrets & Easter Eggs Found in the 1.6 Update! – Stardew Valley

stard Valley is known for having tons of hidden secrets inside the game for players to discover each update the developer adds new and exciting secrets and apparently there are still a ton of secrets that are yet to be found which is insane and with the 1.6 update recently dropping we have brand new ones added to the game that we can all go and try to find and today’s video I have made a list of all of the hidden secrets and Easter eggs that have been discovered so far for 1.6 we’re going to start off with some of the less exciting and as we work our way down I will show some of the most exciting and crazy secrets that will blow your mind so please smash that like button let’s get into the hidden secrets of stardy Valley 1.6 starting off with number one and with every update comes a brand new secret interaction on the logo screen or the main title screen I always found this quite strange to why the developer adds these but 1.6 didn’t disappoint because there is now a new menu Easter egg if you click on the AP logo as the game is loading up the screen will turn green and display falling leaves and adorable junimos number two you can get yourself one of the brand new prize tickets for free by going behind the book seller store and removing a stump this is hidden and you will need your axe to be upgraded to the steel stage before doing so but prize tickets can be exchanged for awesome prizes in the game using the prize machine which is located in the mayor’s house next to the town Ledger and this is the only prize ticket that can be found hidden in the valley the rest can be earned from completing quests and winning at festivals number three you can now Place hats on your adorable cats and dogs and they look as cute as ever all of the hats work so you can choose whatever you like you can mix and match but before 1.6 you could actually only never do this with horses and strangely the alien rarecrow but now our Loving Pets get to share the love and look stylish whilst doing so but number four speaking of pets there is a new Easter egg revolving around your pet horse if you feed the horse a carrot which is a new crop to 1.6 they will love this so much that they will display a heart number five there are now rare Critters hiding around on the valley the main one is the possum you will bump into this occasionally during late nights and they can be found sneaking around bushes and around trees they will get spooked if they see you but there are also some brand new rare butterfly varieties flying around the valley that you can discover on sunny days number six the mayor’s lucky purple shorts can now actually be placed inside fish tanks as a decoration item I’m not sure why anyone would actually want to do this to your poor fish but you know each of their own number seven there has been a new monster added to the Wilderness Farm layout and it is called the aridium Golem When You Reach combat level 9 or higher they have a 50% chance to spawn and they will scale in difficulty based on your combat level as your level increases so will the monster difficulty now aridium Golems are a great way to obtain the new 1.6 seeds but in a recent patch the chance that these drop iridium ore has been increased from 10% to 20 so they are also a great way to obtain iridium and it’s also worth noting monsters on the farm now give combat XP when you slay them which they never did before speaking of monsters on the farm you can also Now find truffle crabs which are enemies found on the farm they only have a 0.2% chance to spawn though which makes them extremely rare and I have actually never found one of these myself but they can be dug up by pigs instead of Truffles and they can appear regardless of whether monsters spawn on the farm is enabled or not let me know in the comments if you have found any truffle crabs yet number eight there’s now been two brand new giant crops added to the game we have the new powder melon which is a winter crop and also the Mr key or Qi fruit which has got the little face on you actually use this fruit as one of the quests Mr Q’s crop Quest and there is a chance to get some giant Qi fruits whilst you are doing this Quest now if you actually Harvest any giant crop with the Shaving enchantment on the axe you can actually get a 60% extra crop by doing so or if you like me just leave them around on the farm and they look so cool especially with the brand new giant crops number nine now you can actually learn about this secret in the game by finding one of the new secret notes there is two secret notes added to 1.6 one of them just tells you about the master from your grandpa and the other one kind of hints and lets you know that junimos love raisins and if you put raisins in the junimo Hut on the farm this will actually give you a chance of double Harvest so every time a junimo gathers one of your ancient fruit there’s a chance that you’ll get two fruits instead of one which is insane you will have to keep loading the raisins up though because they will eventually eat them and they’ll disappear so make them happy and get more crops in return number 10 you can actually now obtain the NPC’s personal weapons which can be purchased at the desert Festival we have things such as Alis iron Leah’s whitler we have Elliot’s pencil and aby’s planet we have Alex’s bat and Harvey’s malet we’ve got maru’s wrench and Penny’s frier we’ve even got Sam’s old guitar and Sebastian’s lost mace so these are only the bachelors’s and Bachelor MPCs the ones that you can marry will have a personal weapon that they will sell on their store on the desert Trader so if you want Penny’s frer you have to wait for Penny to turn up to the desert Trader and set up shop and she will sell this they are all 60 Kaliso eggs each they range from level six to level eight weapons they aren’t the best in the game but some of them are pretty powerful but I think these make a great collectible item to try and get a chest of all of the NPCs that you can marry in the game you know have their personal weapons I think this is awesome number 11 Beware of the cursed man manins the cursed mannequins are a piece of furniture that can be dropped by the haunted skull if you place one in your house they can do a variety of strange things each night when you go to sleep it has a chance to do one of three things firstly it can swap the clothing items placed on the mannequins with the clothing items that you are wearing secondly it may move to random locations in your house kind of creepy and lastly it may change the wallpapers in the room that it’s placed in and when you wake up it will be violently shaking oh that’s freaky but what’s even more freaky if you rotate a cursed mannequin multiple times in a row it will actually display a jump scare on the screen with one of two different faces very freaky indeed number 12 putting lucky purple shorts in the tackle slot of a fishing rod actually changes the bobber style to a unique lucky purple shorts bobber but also if you place this in the first slot of the advanced aridium Rod the shorts will actually prevent any tackle in the second slot from losing your ability this is actually huge and very very handy finally the lucky purple shorts are kind of Lucky but number 13 there is a hidden secret in Winter during the festive Christmas season now if you leave out cookies on a table during the night of winter 24th which is the eve of the Feast of the winter star the cookies will be exchanged for a mystery box which is from Santa himself now number 14 every single year on Spring the 17th to celebrate St Patrick’s Day a pot of gold appears at the end of a rainbow which is near the waterfall located next to the hat mous shop now when you interact with this pot of gold you will receive the leprechaun hat and some gold amazing number 15 you can now get the meow sword which is a weapon based from the game Terraria or terrar area I never know how to pronounce that but the meow is a secret sword weapon obtained by placing the far away Stone on the plant pedestal which is located in the basement of the Wizard’s tower now to obtain the far away Stone you need to First find yourself an ancient doll once you’ve got one of these head over to either the mines and go to the lav eel poool or you can go up to the volcano dungeon Forge room where you’ve got the lava because you need to throw this ancient doll into some lava do doing this will display a cool animation and in return this will give you the far away Stone once you’ve got this you can go over to the Wizard’s Tower and place this into the pedestal to obtain the meow May sword and when enemies are slain with this sword they will explode into rainbow sparkles now that is the only good thing about this weapon other than that it’s actually pretty poor and it’s not a great weapon to use there are a lot of weapons in the game better than this but it looks cool it’s a great reference to Terraria so you know if you are a super fan of that game you’re going to love this this is more of a collectible item than something that’s actually important number 16 there is now a new extra hidden secret passageway in the Quarry mine you’ll see a secret passageway to the right and this will be a brand new room which contains skeletons large rocks and the new coal nodes to mine a great way to obtain lots of stone and coal now this will actually Loop and connect to the top of the Quarry mine and make one big area but check it out it’s pretty cool now we have got the last two and I think these two are the craziest and the best hidden secrets that have been discovered so far so number 17 is the mayor Lewis’s secret basement now in order to access this basement and find out what goes on down there you’ve got to take some staircases which you can craft and if you place them in the mayor’s bedroom you can actually go down into his secret basement of course you do need to increase your friendship with the mayor first to do this you need at least two hearts now you need to place the staircase in the middle of the room in the lower left corner of the bed and by doing this you will automatically teleport to the mayor’s basement and you will find yourself in a dark Labyrinth so I highly recommend taking a couple of dozen torches or maybe a ring that gives you some kind of light because it’s going to be dark down there and it’s going to be kind of like a maze and you want to kind of make your way through there but once you work your way through and and get to the end of the maze you will find some lucky purple shorts I have no idea why the mayor actually keeps these purple lucky shorts down in the basement but once you pick them up the immortal ghost purple shorts will appear in front of you which will cause damage and haunt you until you leave not only are his purple shorts lucky but now apparently they are cursed so grab those lucky purple shorts and run out there as fast as you can and after leaving the basement the ghost will stop chasing you and if you return you can actually pick up a another pair of shorts and run away from the ghost again you can do this as many times as you want and it’s just a great way to obtain lots of Lucky purple shorts we are down to the last hidden secret that has been discovered so far in the 1.6 and this one is absolutely mindblowing I’ve definitely saved the best of the last year so there is a secret cutscene with Mr Qi which is pretty darn wild guys so if you sneak into the summit area before actually getting 100% Perfection you’ll actually be greeted by a very angry and disappointed Mr Qi who has some crazy words for you now you’re probably thinking how the hell do I sneak up there without completing the game well to do this you can actually use the Scythe glitch if you stand near the exit of an area and just start swinging the Scythe you’ll actually notice your character slightly moving forward ever so slightly now if you keep swiping and swiping and swiping eventually you can actually get yourself out of the map now you got to do this by going to the robin shop and as if you are exiting that area South to go to the community center start using the side glitch until you can just see a little pixel of your hair so you know where you’re going and then you can make your way to the left straight up to as if you would go to the bath house area and if you canot play around with this until you eventually do get yourself out of there and then you’re going to have to do this again in this area to make your way right to the top of the summit now without explaining the cut scene I’ve actually done this and recorded it so just watch and see
