So I got access to Minecraft: China Edition…

Chinese Minecraft is a version of Minecraft that is really hard to get I had to get a contact from Hong Kong to set up a VPN to set up remote PC controlling with multiple really weird Loops to get this game visible to the Western World and let me tell you Chinese Minecraft versus our Minecraft is not the same okay before we begin I want to really reiterate how hard it was to acquire this Minecraft itself is completely free in China but to even start you need to pictures of your ID or passport pictures of your actual face send your phone number send your home address installing suspicious apps and that is just a start I want you to get ready for this because some of these things that I’m about to show you you are not ready for we started off showcasing what Minecraft China Edition actually is like and later on we’re going to be playing it for ourselves why does this launcher already kind of look better how fast does it start let’s see so this launcher start another launcher oh God it starts okay so this is basically like your home screen of Minecraft what am I looking at right now what’s at the top what event basically if i k into it wa how is this Minecraft you can see that they get a lot of project to do those C animation yeah and you can unlock them with you know diamonds down here you can see it oh these are other things you can buy there’s like tons of different things so this is like 80 to buy probably this character oh here’s other stuff you can get look and this cost oh you actually can do this there we go look at that oh my God look at the crazy things and then I can probably like equip them or gift them or like do something with it of course daily reward if I click stuff and then here is your customization wao these are pickaxes so they actually cost another currency that’s something else again yes there something else let’s talk about these diamonds diamonds are one of the currencies that cost actual real money and I’m saying one of because there are a lot of currencies in this game when you buy diamond you get Mo which ammo is reset every month what don’t ask me why that’s weird but sure I honestly don’t think I can count it on two hands how many different currencies there are you got emeralds diamonds Minecraft die for some reason an end Crystal thingy doesn’t that look like the Minecraft coin hold on let me look this up it looks like this right mine coins don’t they look like that but it’s got an H Instead at some point I even bought purple blocks that I literally couldn’t even find a use for I bought 60 purple blocks can I now buy something that costs perple I don’t don’t know what I’m doing okay now start the game yeah we’re we’re not even playing yet this the launcher actual launcher launcher I guess okay so you go launcher launcher launcher yeah yeah hey that’s me bottom left look at that guess what one of the skin is your skin yay what the hell after I got a glimpse of what this whole new world of Minecraft looked like I wanted to get my hands on it and it took us way too many attempts until we finally got it working on both PC and mobile and yeah there is a difference oh what the hell uh wait why can’t a cool animation why can’t we have this look at how good this looks okay I think it works we have Minecraft and it’s really wacky to quickly explain what we’re looking at this is the home screen of Minecraft China Edition which has a lot going on you got things like Cosmetics events daily rewards gotcha rolling loot boxes pets weapon skins mounts and I presume Zoom some sort of Life chat that I can’t translate there is a lot of things going on and we’re only scraping the surface so far I spent a lot of time at the start looking at some maps and mods you can purchase with real money I’m going to start a single player game which is this Dragon over here so we’ll just try that probably create new world you got things like the name oh I have no idea what I’m doing create survive Adventure yeah that makes sense and then these might be the difficulties oh that makes sense so this is easy normal hard and then hardcore probably oh these are like mods you can toggle on and off I see so if I just toggle them all on and then these are things you can download from other people so these are mods and data packs and and I guess all kinds of things you can get okay I’ll get the car it’s like an actual look at this what and these are like ratings I guess so these are the ratings with like the food these mods are on mobile by the way you can completely run this on your phone and some of these mods have very similar visuals to existing mods that we know so in the Chinese Marketplace there actually are mods that we have in the Western World look I’m struggling to understand but we have we have EMC yeah and you can buy this mod so you can buy you can buy this mod I just realized what that means it is free on Java but to get the same mod in China it you have to buy it I can almost guarantee it’s not published by the same people that made the Java version this is like a Sky Block where the thing keeps keeps changing but it is regular Sky Block but then you have what regular Sky Block with zombies that can pillar up this whole Marketplace is a fever dream 300 diamonds for this let’s let’s watch it wa it’s like a king kong kind of thing Jesus oh it actually is it’s oh my God going to be honest it actually is pretty good looking I don’t know how they did this some of this stuff is kind of ridiculous but the craziest thing is that there’s custom stories that release every season in Minecraft China Edition these are the current release story lines that you can play through and once again vanilla unmodded Minecraft you just have this we started with some sort of underwater Adventure game mode that honestly I can’t even explain what I’m about to show you just watch this is vanilla basically and then this is why this is so special so these are official part like kind of like I don’t even know what it would be like a game inside of it it’s it’s crazy but let’s just try this one this one apparently is the most popular realm of apocalypse end and beginning and look at this it’s like a it’s like a boss it’s ridiculous that we don’t have this we don’t have cool things like this here we go I think it’s not loading yep it is and look at the fox look at the little guy what why don’t we have this this just like a buddy look at him this is crazy oh by the way this fox is apparently some sort of companion we’ll talk about him later so I need to build that portal chapter 1 the world blessed by God an ancient legend riots used use blue ice and obsidian to okay so I need to make a portal like that I think it looks like this and now I need to light it oh my God how is this real what what I am I what is happening I I’m sorry I don’t know what’s going on I’m I’m more quiet than usual because I genuinely am perplexed that this is regular Minecraft this is what they have access to and like we have sheep and they have things like this oh why are you is that villager why is it swimming like that that’s a villager since when can they do that oh wait what’s this waa okay interesting generation this is like boss roomy almost it is a boss room what the hell why do they have bosses can I go in survival I’m curious oh God oh God oh God oh God oh God oh God you know what hold on we look we look a little bit boring let me let me see if I can fix this oh my God you got your classic Steve you got your classic Alex and then you got this character is this default oh my God oh my God so I think you can select a replacement for certain swords so you can make your wooden sword look like that that’s insane oh there’s like bows and stuff too and axes oh and there’s armor too what is this oh and it goes over the cuz that’s insane it’s like a fish pond thing it probably looks really good normally yeah equip it oh those are like Trails you see that wherever you walk you get these things on the ground probably pandas I’m getting this one hell yeah I’ll get this screw it why not oh are these like rideables you can you can ride an ice cream what dude how do I get this look at that how is this still Minecraft oh that is actually crazy the tail is so cool what kind of block is that I mean it’s not block obviously but it’s still squarish do I just get a little Panda guy or do I get it’s like animated too okay I’ll get this guy I love him oh what the hell I’m never going to play this again but I’m still buying wa I’m flying on my sword so if I get a wooden sword right and I select it look at that I mean what let me kill a llama what the hell so coming back to the fox in Minecraft China Edition you can select a companion creature to always follow you around what’s this something called partner which will always show by your oh my God there’s so many foxes I love it somehow for some reason they official free one like this is free this what they knew oh that’s great they did it just for me that’s amazing thank you Chinese Minecraft now these companions are a lot more than just pets like dogs and cats in Western versions of Minecraft as these guys have a whole custom UI where you can select animations that they can do and there’s even skins that cost real world money to unlock the craziest part is that that some of these skins or animations you can buy for your companion they don’t even work what what is happening it’s it’s not even in Center what is this who are you why is there normal Fox animations like sleeping and then there’s just this lady considering that this is base game of Minecraft this is kind of crazy but I kid you not it gets crazier I ended up misclicking while setting these cosmetics and found some of the wackiest thing I’ve ever seen okay how do I how do I change my main skin Oh wait that’s what did I click and before I show you this I’m going to reiterate the official game of Minecraft unmodified this is what the game is by default what is this this is like a different game this is still basic Minecraft by the way what is happening here this is like some sort of Sim City what is going on I’m so incredibly confused how is this still the Minecraft app this is like some sort of like Farmville what is going on oh what there’s like riddles I need a diamond pickaxe can you help me choose the right materials okay I can yeah I can guide you okay it’s now making it and then there’s this radio thing G geography geography cookie cookie cookie Del what is happening at some point I managed to land myself in another storyline game mode that is definitely worth showing it contains some of the craziest things that even our modded Minecraft would struggle with and they have this built in capable to run on your phone wa there’s actual like okay yep St the armor that’s so silly things like dialogue boxes entire storyline Quest markers path helping and most of all this it’s a whole combat system wa oh my God is that how you deal damage look at this they just casually made that a thing and then this is regular hit but then still base game by the way oh he has like animations and stuff look at this oh that’s so cool wa I didn’t know it could do that oh they were like testing my skills going to funny we don’t know a powerful you were but we got to we got to send a bunch of ninjas at you it is crazy but after all this it was time to swap to the big guns Minecraft China PC edition and upon starting the launcher we were greeted with this there it [Music] is what is a pig of eyebrows oh my God this is so cool [Music] dude that is amazing what you just saw was the opening to the Chinese version of Minecraft and my god did that look good I do think multiplayer like a multiplayer server would be nice if you can find one so these are the people that are currently playing on the server oh it’s like it’s like the Roblox game it’s like the yeah the classic natural disasters game and this is crazy it’s it’s basically like public lobbies Roblox has you can just join and it’s so neat that they have this what is the what is objective I can’t tell oh yeah volcano lava oh God I’ll be under here I think I’m safe under here okay real quick this is editor Fundy what the hell is this item I’m holding I don’t even know what this is does it have like the that it what is this item oh God okay oh my God I’m still fine yeah I think a lot of us survived that one I don’t know if I’m right with this but it’s basically like Roblox I remember very long ago this is a thing in Roblox you can do and we have kind of just identical things in Minecraft you can just join lobbies of people playing this not needing to really do anything else like you just automatically download whatever is needed and you can do crazy things like this like you can do emotes like this in vanilla Minecraft which is crazy I think I’m about to join a Chinese Lobby of bedwars oh I I totally feel like this is bedwars oh I think this is I playing bedwars okay but I don’t understand anything about this though for the record I have tremendous amount of input like I will not be speed bridging or anything like that oh I bet he’s not happy we were both no idea what we were doing oh that’s so funny let me carry on to oh green is kind of killing it I think it’s not the best bed bro okay okay I feel like he has a little bit better control oh I think my bed was gone at some point I I don’t know when that happened honestly I have played through it for around 4 hours now and I only barely scratched the surface there are so many things to talk about ranging from stolen mods sold for money to game modes that are 10 times better than our Minecraft could ever be unique bosses that are never seen before and a way too expressive currency system with Cosmetics daily rewards and broken emotes things like forums a video Watcher from within the launcher all supported with a rating system based on the Minecraft hunger bar bar icons it is absolutely crazy the things that I was able to share with you and I just really hope you enjoyed this little documentary and everything that I
