I need to have a tileable flying machine design, alternating honey and slimeblocks in the horizontal direction to build a sliding piston door that comes in from the side and is 7×4 (width x height) big. Never used honey before and I’m only somewhat familiar with flying machines, so I opted to use an already existing design from a vertical sliding door.
However, when placed vertically, only the slime compoment works, the honey is only pushed, but does not pull the first part back.
I would be grateful for an explanation, and if you know, a different horizontal (tileable) design that would work.

Honey can’t be powered so the upper left piston won’t extend. If you build it vertically, the piston gets QC powered and it works.
