grandpa is that you or at least your ghost or maybe your dream ghost is this because i just had that weird dream thing with emily my dearest granddaughter oh grandpa it’s so good to see you again even if it’s only a dream at the beginning of year three season three of our stardew valley experience it’s been many years since we last spoke you were just a little girl do you remember look how far you’ve come though you may have forgotten me i’ve been here all along you see my body has departed this world but my heart will always remain in stardew valley oh my goodness i kind of have tears in my eyes i kind of have tears in my eyes i know that everybody has dreams of their dead grandpa but this is really special to me because stardew valley is very very very special to me too oh my goodness okay don’t cry okay i got this oh grandpa you’ve been here two years now i’m so proud of you my dear you’re a better farmer than i ever was and you’ve brought great honor to the family name and probably our many cows as well thank you grandpa i can feel it now my spirit is finally put to rest bless you oh grandpa thank you the future of mostly farm is in your hands now farewell oh farewell grandpa oh my goodness okay guys so welcome oh rowan i just saw your granddad i’m gonna give you a hug but welcome welcome welcome everyone to the second episode of the closed beta of stardew valley as we adventure and explore and discover new things like cactuses that give me pearls and a whole bunch of adorable oh it’s now it’s now spring so let’s go ahead and put a daisy in my hair oh that’s perfect and we have a stone card that i’m you know what let’s go put that down next to that statue that has something to do with grandpa but we are in the beginning of year three of our stardew valley adventure leia leah my lovely wife you wouldn’t believe what i just had a dream about that was some way to ring in the new year last night there we go all right so it looks like leia is having a great time it looks like hopefully we had a good night i had a great dream there we go let’s get some fresh coffee beans put in for leia so that she will be able to enjoy her coffee and let’s begin so how does it look like outside how’s my world oh here what’s going on my cowboy my cows are out oh look guys something happened okay we’ve got to get over there and see what just happened come on rose stone oh my gosh my fields are alive again it has been so long oh i really have real tears in my eyes i am so happy to be here oh my goodness come on rose stone we’ve got this oh my gosh okay dear everybody scooch squish scooch this tree has unfortunately grown on my grandfather’s shrine all right guys i have some good news and i have some bad news the good news is there’s definitely more than one candle lit up at grandpa’s uh shrine up here if you check and let me get these truffles out of my way if you check there actually seems to be maybe even maybe i’m kind of tempted to cut this tree down but i’m worried the tree will never grow back but you know what i need to respect grandpa so i’ve got to go find my axe so we can cut this tree down and count how many candles have been lit at grandpa’s shrine and what normally happens about this time is that uh we would actually get the statue of perfection which would give me two to six iridium a day however if i touch the grandpa’s shrine because this is a beta version of the game um everything crashes so we are not going to touch grandpa shrine i shall have to assume that he wants me to have the statue of perfection another day or perhaps this is a way for him to send me the message that i am i am perfect the way i am oh grandpa thank you but all right so that definitely put a little bit of a hurdle in my plans and look at my farm it is just flourishing the animals are out look at all of the little dragons oh my goodness or excuse me our little dinosaur dragons they are out and about i probably need to give them more grass we need to go and visit with pierre so i can get more grass for all of them to eat let me let my chickens out maybe they can all come out and have a nice day we have got all sorts of fruits that we need to go ahead and harvest let me actually exchange my earmuffs for a beautiful little flower we might go get a whole new outfit from the wizards hut in a little bit but yeah i didn’t expect that so unfortunately i am not able to get the statue of perfection but i’m sure that grandpa just thinks i’m perfect just the way i am because we do have great relationships with pretty much everybody in town i have earned over a million gold for this farm i have upgraded my house and gotten married i even have a child so i’m sure that grandpa would be proud and i’m just gonna have to imagine that um you know he thinks i’m so perfect i don’t need the statue of perfection i don’t need that iridium iridium who needs it right i’ll have to report that as a bug and we’ll see if it can get fixed so just keep that in mind uh that we are on the beta version so sometimes hiccups happen you know what i mean uh and i’m sure i’m sure grandpa didn’t mean anything by it but all right we have a spring beautiful beautiful spring farm to take care of and we have got a lot to do today like take down our winter decor we just we don’t need to we don’t need to leave this little scarecrow up we’ve got this little guy i’m actually going to put you away let’s see what the mail has to say oh shane hey hey i thought it would be fun to send you a letter i didn’t don’t really know what to write though here i haven’t closed a treat for you don’t tell anyone but i snagged this from the back room of jojo mart ages ago no shane we shut that place down so long ago i’m like oh my gosh i don’t know if i want a piece of that old thank you shane i’ll give it to sam i’m sure he won’t care if it’s an old pizza oh my goodness well alright guys we have so so much to do oh my gosh i have more tea leaf cuttings that are actually now pearls um would it hurt to sell them okay we’re gonna see you know what if i can’t have the statue of perfection at least i have pearls so hopefully that’ll help me out uh let’s see and here are that’s my gold axe and there’s my iridium broad and here’s my scythe so we need to clean my pockets out oh my gosh there’s just so much going on right now um um okay i’m just gonna throw everything in here that i was like hauling around for absolutely no reason and we’ll come back to it later and i’m gonna save my pearls i cannot believe we gave away what must be like a life fortune to everybody in town i’m glad i’m a nice person oh my gosh um let’s see we can put the truffles in the truffle oil machine so i can run down and do that and i need to get my watering can which i’m pretty sure cliff or clint sorry clint i’m pretty sure clint actually has my watering can look and flowers oh pam this is awesome how are you having your day like how’s your day going pam hey you probably have a lot of tasty grub growing on your farm you know pam i do have a lot of tasty grub growing on my farm i also have this creepy pizza but who do i need to improve my relationship with here on the beginning of year three sandy hayley rowan my son i wonder well i don’t want to feed him the pizza and penny who i don’t think i’m ever going to have a better relationship with so you know what um pam would you like some grape jelly i guess you did good with this one kid thanks you’re welcome pam i’m glad you liked it and now i’m pretty sure you’ve had all the gifts that you get from me for the week uh even if i wish to give you more oh another event oh guys we’re just stumbling on event after event oh gosh ah another beautiful day in pelican town emily emily i think this is supposed to be look at the birds this is one of emily’s like bachelorette event no emily i’m married but i’m married emily my friends oh that’s so cool maybe we could i’ll go bird watching with you okay but i’m a married woman now oh no no oh no you poor thing oh the little birdo your wings broken that’s so sad that’s terrible emily i’ll help you out with this oh you’re a bit different than the others aren’t you just like me oh emily if you had been a bachelorette when i was i was searching for like love that maybe things would have been different but i do love leia don’t worry i’ll nurse you back to help little one everything will be all right oh i really love her music too i know that’s kind of random dimension but it’s very relaxing emily took the injured parrot into her home and bandaged the wing he’s all set up in her room but as a token of respect she didn’t give the bird a name that is so cool though i i name all the wild animals that come to visit my house so emily feel free to give him a name oh my gosh all right let’s see if clint has my watering can i’m so glad you’re here clint yes already a modern can best first day of spring ever oh my gosh clint how you doing today be glad you’re a farmer siri it’s nicer to work outdoors than buy a hot furnace all day you know i can’t argue with you there i do love what i do ah all right so on that note what to do first i now have my iridium watering can i have my my garden pot i kind of want to start planting a whole like a whole bunch of garden pots all over town i need to change my outfit so that i feel like i’m really in spring mood um but other than that i met with grandpa he decided i’m so perfect that i don’t i don’t need i don’t need the new stuff grandpa it’s fine but you know what let’s run over let’s get rose stone we got a new thing a new stone carn i probably need i need to plant things what am i doing acting like i can dilly dally like this is winter or something i need to start planting things two piers come along rose stone we need to hurry along come along my dear and we need to dive in and grab handfuls of seeds let’s see if there’s any new events going on flower dance and egg festival kent’s birthday seems to be mostly the usual uh abigail how are you oh siri hi wanna hang out for a while here let me read your poem marnie animals are so innocent so sweet and if i don’t look after them who will ah good question marnie all right yeah i’m ready for planting things oh gosh i’m so excited two lips just imagine planting tulips and bulbs all over town oh grass starters no joke pierre i’m gonna kind of have to get a whole bunch of those i’m not i’m not even we’re not playing i’m putting so many grass starters away we can directly sell to him some of the things that i have been collecting um do i want to plant any more yeah i don’t think i want to plant any more saplings just yet because i need to reevaluate what i’m doing with my saplings and then let me see jazz seeds kale seeds potatoes really sell very well and oh if we grow cauliflower we might grow a giant cauliflower and then i will let myself get another junomo hut because i do try to have that fun little thing where i only allow myself to collect the generable huts if i grow a giant crop first and i have my pumpkin left over from last fall so let’s go ahead and buy a whole bunch of these guys kind of in in the nines uh let’s see we’ll do another set of nine yeah we’ll we’ll do a lot of these and then hopefully i’ll be able to actually go ahead uh you know what we’ll just round it out and hopefully i’ll be able to go ahead and get enough that i can get another giant thing i have so many watering cans this probably isn’t going to be a big deal no matter what i do so let’s just grow a ton of stuff so i can plant i can cut i can harvest oh all the joys all the joys of stardew valley just coming back to me there we go and we’ll get a whole bunch of the potatoes because they give you a chance of having like multiples so it would be really nice to just have a ton of them i probably have far more than i need at this point oh and kale because we can make that delicious kale salad and i know that my wonderful wife does love kale salad even though i really don’t like kale in person but that’s okay uh and then we have a whole bunch of tulips let’s just buy a bunch of tulips because why not who knows we might have a lot of fun with those maybe some jazz seeds i do need to get my honey going again oh my gosh it has been so long since i have had to worry about the honey and the garlic we actually might want to have at least a couple patches of because we may want to use the garlic uh so that we can make some of the garlic oil to grow more or to cook more things so all right yay see it’s everywhere so much to do let’s do this all right and let’s just pop in here any special events waiting for me nope i’d like to stay in stardew valley for a while i’m finally starting to feel involved in the community well you would be pretty intimately involved as the doctor harvey it’s good to know it’s good to know that you’re useful i agree harvey all right so checked in on everybody uh so now really it’s taking care of my farm and i’m sort of curious where would we find some of the surprises rose stone we’ve started to stumble on some of the things with some of the new events how many other events like it’s a mystery every day we wake up and we don’t know what we’re going to find in the valley and it’s just fantastic after so long to feel that again all right so let’s come through hopefully my hen hens will do a good job of not getting smacked as i go around putting down these seeds tons and tons of seeds we’ll just kind of organize this really quickly flowers at the very end there we go um yeah flowers can actually wait down here and we’ll figure out what to do with those in just a second all right gosh it has been so long since i’ve actually farmed on my farm uh that i’m kind of flummoxed because normally we end up mining it’s been it’s just been winter for ages like in real life and and here in the valley all right so we’ll clear away a few spots there we go no trees please and then how far can you spread oh that’s right you go on the 9×9 no my sprinkler where’d my sprinkler go there it is all right gotta put the sprinkler down gosh i’m like a novice farmer all over again trying to to arrive back in the valley gosh all right we’ve got this hang on rose stone maybe i should have upgraded my hoe but now is not the time to think about that now is the time yes to collect clay all right the clay is going to be very exciting gosh darn it the clay is going to be very exciting because the more clay i gather then the more of those really fantastic watery or the really fantastic i was thinking about having to water things they’re really fantastic flower pots there we go i knew i would get it out eventually the really awesome flower pots i can plant and one of my first goals is to actually try to plant one where evelyn will be able to admire some flowers and if we can grow any types of flowers indoors then maybe i can grow some of her favorites and i think that’d be really sweet alright yay more clay all right come down here gosh it’s going to be one of those kinds of days it’s so nice to listen to my chickens just happily happily blocking oh i didn’t know that i can just knock down the weeds with the hoe that’s kind of cool but it’s so nice to listen to my chickens just happily making their little noises oops all right we’ll go ahead and do this there we go i wonder should i go to the mines should i start poking in people’s houses so that i can see if i can run into more events suddenly i’ll just start showing up and like making a nuisance of myself in everybody’s homes all right come on a little bit here a little bit there there we go wonderful okay and it looks like we have a lot of trees look look guys oh my goodness look okay so this is actually our rabbit hutch this is the special extra chicken coop that i had constructed so that we can actually start putting rabbits here so i wanted to let my rabbits come out and i want them to have a big field where they can come play and hopefully this will grow before the chickens and everybody else comes to eat them but i wanted my rabbits to be able to just kind of run around down here and have a great time and get more and more rabbits to fill up the entire coop and then over here are a whole bunch of my trees my fruit trees so my dream is to let the grass grow among the fully mature fruit trees and then let my rabbits frolic among them so i think that’ll turn out really nicely maybe i’ll even put in like another flower garden over here at some point all right and there’s some noodle doodle worms is it gonna be clay i’d be okay with clay yay i’m actually okay with that we’re a little bit closer now to being able to have a beautiful beautiful flower pot i still can’t believe we have like gardening pots that’s really amazing to me all right because it’s something that i definitely want and oh my gosh this is gonna take forever this is truly gonna take forever i forgot about this all right let’s see what i can plant already we’re gonna start with the parsnips thank goodness i have the energy not the parsnips not the parsnips oh i feel terrible not parsnips sorry parsnips good thing you were cheap we’re gonna start with the cauliflower all right the cauliflower needs to go down in groups of three by three like so there we go and the cauliflower going down will hopefully turn it into a giant crop like this which will allow me to meet my own personal rule that we must first have a giant crop before i can have a junimo hut and i would love to have my very first junomo hut now that we have a change of seasons so i’m gonna have to look into that in just a second let me go ahead and plant how about those bean seeds i think that the beans would be really nice right about here there we go maybe there we go oh that’s right they’re going to be on these trellises so i might want to be very careful about how many places i have the bean seed so i can wiggle between them all right all right we’ll do some down there and then how about did i take up a huh i might want to add a sprinkler over here then and why don’t we do the bean seeds up along this side then there we go i can just kind of like run over here i need to leave a gap actually so i can get in gosh farming is so much more complicated than i remember because i have a silly goose oh my gosh okay all right we’ve got this uh let’s see how far i can get before it gets too late to do anything all right we’ll put down i think the bean seeds are going to be really useful so we’ll put more down over here but i really want to be careful oh dear i really want to be careful so i don’t make it hard on myself to walk between all of these spots and i need to ah they did it again i really need to be very sparse with my beans that’s what i’m learning so that i can walk through everything easily all right and then we’re over here i need more torches it is so dark oh oh that’s because i took off my i’m wearing the ring of yoba that’s why it’s so dark gross stone i’m not wearing my ring of light no wonder i was so confused because i’ve had my glow ring for so many years that i forgot that it could even be so dark i am learning how to farm all over again all right and we’ve got potatoes just potatoes everywhere i’m just gonna plant tons of potatoes there we go all right potatoes here potatoes there oh look at them i think the potatoes have a different texture now that’s so cool all right we’ll put potatoes over here it doesn’t matter it it’s just going in the ground it’s important to do that on one of these days there we go my farms are never very organized we’ll add in some kale uh here why not we’ll just throw in some garlic wherever we can put some down our second our second go of it will be tidier i promise guys just right now is going to be a little messy as i kind of readjust to learning how to farm and then of course cauliflower which takes a very long time to grow if i remember correctly so we’ll sprinkle these down here there we go let’s hurry right there we’ll get more cauliflower planted over here got to be careful so i don’t knock down the new seedlings and then i need to check my greenhouse i definitely need to run in and check my greenhouse asap because we might actually have some more of the pearls i’m not sure what’s going to happen with the whole cactus and pearl thing but i’m really hoping we get like some fun results so let’s see let’s do this there we go let’s clear out this spot my goodness it is going to be much harder to get my farm up and going for the new year than i thought it was going to be come on up we go there little piece of wood all right and a few more cauliflower down where they might do some good and then some parsnips and now the thing is i have to water all of them but i have an iridium watering can now let the magic begin show me your power already a mortaring can oh that’s beautiful that is so much better oh look at that it still takes a little bit oh gosh i’m gonna run out of time okay i have to check on the pearls i have to water everybody i can first though oh my goodness what have i done to myself and i need to clear things out i can’t even walk on my fields oh guys i am a farming novice again and it feels so good i’m so happy to be back i’m so happy to be back even if everything is 100 a complete mess oh no i’m bordering the road no don’t do that okay come on no no come on little siri you got to remember how to do everything all right so at least today’s new discoveries other than the fact that the potatoes look a little bit different now uh also include there we go also include uh that we found some more of the illegal pearls that were once upon a time a whole bunch of tea leaves and we had that fun event with emily it is not a new event it is actually one of the events you would get with her if uh you were playing with the update after she became a bachelorette but it’s just really fun to kind of see it pop up at this time when we’re peeking at everything else too oh my gosh i actually got them all watered iridium watering and you’re the best all right eventually i’ll learn how to be a farmer again oh my goodness and i have to clear so many things all right let’s run inside and it looks like nothing has grown so we’re good here all right i’m back home all right hurry rose stone it’s one in the morning i have failed a lot of things but we at least got seeds in the ground so i’m gonna call it a win all right so time for bed noodle doodles is already back inside sleeping in the kitchen and i’m ready to go to sleep for the night now let’s hope everything doesn’t crash from those illegal pearls all right it looks like the illegal pearls have been thrown out and thankfully unfortunately they didn’t sell for the price that pearls normally do but that’s okay they’re no longer in our household and we can rest on a easy conscience and just continue to watch our cactuses to see if they wish to bequeath upon us many more pearls in the future but alright guys we will continue exploring the single-player adventures that we are having here in stardew valley’s closed beta for its update tomorrow i’m very excited to share them with you and to continue to grow the farm find some of the discoveries and basically learn how to
