I Made Terraria, but its 3D
this is what Terraria would look like in 3D recently I’ve been working on a 2.5d fan remake of Terraria in Gat making the game in 3D allows for a lot more lighting options so I went ahead and basically added shaders to it aside from that you can also move in all four directions which allows for some neat things like houses that have each of their walls this also means that the biomes can be a little more mixed up alongside the the Wall of Flesh being able to attack you from three different directions now I also decided to add some of the removed content like the first fractal some console exclusive content like acram and even some of the Chinese exclusive content as well like the KFC chicken pet now for obvious legal reasons I won’t be publishing this game anywhere this project was mainly just for me to learn G do alongside me also just wanting to see what Terraria would look like in 2.5d

Im quite sure you can publish it as long as its for free, you should be protected by fair use. As long as you create all the code, assets, etc. yourself. Which would mean recreating all the existing sprites, but if you wanted to you could just make 3d versions.

I’m pretty sure as long as you don’t make money off of it you can publish your version. But I’m not a lawyer.
