Mushroom Logs and Dehydrators – Even Better Together? Stardew Valley Update 1.6 – KitaDollx Games
Mushroom logs and dehydrators are new to Stardew Valley in the 1.6 update. I’ll be looking at how mushroom log output changes when combined with dehydrators, and how that impacts tree farm setups. Just how much more money can we squeeze out of mushrooms?

have u seen the Forine110 design? he optimized for quantity and space constraint. these research r way beyond my tiny brain. i think u would extract more info off of his layout and come up with better plans
In my opinion the 5×5 method would still net you more gold. The number of trees determines the number of mushrooms while full grown trees determine the quality. We don't care about quality and with only 2 full grown trees we get the best chance of rolling a rare mushroom spawn. With 9 trees in the center and 2 mature trees at the middle left and middle right. Then placing 16 mushroom logs around would give you around a 50% better yield of rare mushrooms. The main issue of this design is you can only tap 2 trees by placing only 14 logs, so I would not recommend this set up for mystic trees with a heavy tapper. Stick to pine since their tar is required for very few recipes and sells for very little. Having another 5×5 a space away either above or below will guarantee you getting 5 mushrooms for those logs without lowering rare mushroom chance.
Mushrooms can go perseveres jars as of 1.6

oh do the logs right next to seeds not stop them from growing to mature trees? 😮😮
