Can you show the rest of he sorters? The mistake is not between the repeaters and the torches but before the repeaters since the activated repeaters turn off the torches.
From the looks of it your item filters could just be full/overflowing. This would explain this state.
Since you seem to play modded minecraft, it would be possible that maaaybe some (e.g. performance enhancement) mod messes with the redstone. But this is unlikely I’d say.
