    i think the reason your channel has died down is because people that watch speedrun videos already know whats going on, we dont need such in depth analyzing, we would rather just watch the run.

    Weird to me that they'd even reject the run in the first place. The runner was playing by the rules, as they were declared, at the time the run took place.

    What i think speedrun leaderboards should do is add a type of placement to their leaderboard, like a ghost placement if you will, that shows the run's time and placement, but doesn't affect other run's placements, and comes with a disclaimer that it cant be officially verified. that way the runners get the recognition they deserve but also doesn't really risk a fake run getting recognition it doesn't deserve.

    I mean, I assume he sent his resource pack files and proved that he wasn’t cheating thanks to the new rule that lets you verify past runs. So I would say this is a good thing. Also, the run was done before the rule was implemented so it should be kept unless they want to get rid of all the other runs that used resource packs before the resource pack ban.

    Although someone being a good player doesnt make them any less likely to cheat, Im pretty convinced that lol's 2nd place run (and at the time world record) more than proved his legitimacy.

    If laws from the real world were somehow implemented into Minecraft speedrunning, the mod team's initial judgement of LOLs run would have broken the Ex Post Facto law, which basically states that laws created after someone commits an act can't be used to convict someone in court. In this case, the mod team literally made up a rule that specifically targeted LOL's world record run. That was just plain unfair.

    Personally, I think if the runner can prove that the resource pack only alters Menu UI (excluding inventory) and not ANY game textures then the pack should be viewed as a skin and not a texture pack. (when it comes to speed running) I think the reset faster packs should be legal. Then again, I am not part of the community, and if they are fine with what it is now then there is no issue. However, in my opinion it was the wrong decision in the first place to reject a run based on rules changed after the run was submitted. The correct decision (even if it took a year) was to let the run stand as valid.
    Congrats to LOL869! It is a rare occurrence for the bedrock time to be lower then java. Well earned.

    I don’t care what the mod teams think or announce. 6:46 was the world record, it was still the world record after they rejected it, and it’s still the world record now that they’ve reverified it.

    It's kind of a dick move to change the rules in response to a run and then reject the run for breaking those rules. The run should have been accepted in the first place. Rule changes should state when they go into effect.

    My question is this: how tf did he spawn 1000 blocks from 0,0? Every time i load a world, im within 50 blocks from 0,0 every time.
