Lore idea: while you were tired and teleported back to your base by an ancient artifact anyone could use, a very powerful demon slayer attacked you while your guard was gone, but because of one of your demon art(akaza’s) allowing you to instinctively attack them while unconscious(the needle technique) (you also use your other techniques instinctively because of blood demon art techniques merging or simply slightly combining together or akasas techniques allows you to use all you techniques instinctively) after the bloodbath they finally found a way to temporarily “lock” (or seal” your demon arts (because you lost them from going to the nether, you could “unlock” or unseal them through battles which would make your willpower and adrenaline able to unlock your demon arts, of course the demon art you unlock first depends on how hard your battle was). They then did a ritual with another ancient artifact that supposedly sends one being to hell with a sacrifice of another (since you killed everyone but that one strong demon slayer that one tapped you, while you was unconscious he had no other choice but to sacrifice himself to send you to hell) little did he know it wasn’t actually hell it’s a place that resembles it and that place is called the “nether” but even if both of you went to hell doesn’t mean you end up in the same place since hell is infinite in size that demon slayer could be anywhere.

Also little lore for the demon slayer while he has disciples and offspring’s that he thought breathing techniques to incase he ever died to you. Ok now we’re at the part where the demon slayer is in the hellish dimension called the “nether”. The slayer wakes up feeling by pain throughout it his body, but because of his formidable body and spirit he pushing past the pain, looking n at his surroundings he found himself in a wasteland, thinking it was hell he goes to draw his sword in case the last demon who called himself “butterjaffa” is around, yet to no avail his katana isn’t there confused he looked around, then realized his kinoe is gone also all he has on is his sandals and undergarments, searching for clothing to wear he had a thought and finally realized “this isn’t hell… didn’t grandfather said there was a place similar called the ‘aether?’ This must be it, and there multiple ways to get here but to leave is a different story don’t I have to look for a special gem to get back to my realm, how am I supposed to do that I don’t even know how it looks like? Wait.. there also a portal that connects these two realms together, and if there’s portals scattered around the infinite purgatory then ‘HE’ that ‘THING’ must be here too. And if I could escape then it definitely could too.” With hope and determination he sets of looking for clothes and a nether portal.
(Hope this makes sense)
(For people wondering on how butter could gain new techniques even though he lost his old then it’s because he’s simply very unique and a prodigy (also because he kills every demon slayer he fight and encounters nobody can report to the HQ he has multiple demon arts, and even if they think that they would think it could be an extension of one big and complex demon art like hantengu, while sealing his demon arts thinking that’s all he has, butter would slowing not only unlock his other demon arts, he’s slowly unsealing the seal through shear willpower and spirit he gets from each battle he’s in.) HOPE YOU GUYS UNDERSTAND ALL OF THIS LOL)

i think the biggest issue with this series while really fun is the lock mod, it just makes any amount of attempt at exploration an absolute slog cause every chance at loot is locked.

Lore idea: Maybe the in universe reason the slayers didn't kill Butter's character is because Tamayo (i don't know how to spell her name at the moment) wanted to test the medicine that would turn a demon back into a human on him, but it wasn't perfected at the time the slayer corp caught Butter. So they instead put Butter in a cage in a place the thought he couldn't do any harm (the nether where you need a portal to get to), maybe put willow poison on the bars so Butter couldn't just punch his way out, and put the lava over the cage because how would be dumb enough to swim through lava.

Or different idea: Butter's healing factor works better than any others demons for whatever reason (maybe to do with him seeing Muzan), that no matter how many blows the slayers that caught him dealt, they couldn't out-speed Butter's healing. So they had no other choice than to imprison Butter in hopes of making the world safer.
