I’m here to introduce you a simple, fully AFK rod of discord farm that works in Terraria 1.4! It is simple to set up, and works like a charm! Hello! There was some slight oversight on my part regarding the enchanted swords! If you die to one, they'll still be there and kill you over and over again. So I would recommend using something like a spider summon with titanium armour. Maybe throw in a heart lantern / bast statue or something just to be really safe! Really sorry for my oversight, but I still hope the farm helps!
And I forgot about luck too, make hallowed torches and other luck items like garden gnomes!
Right, and if you're having problems, please doublecheck if you had placed walls where you're standing. Chaos elementals won't spawn if you're standing in front of walls.
P.S If you're going to say that the slime and target dummy thing will work for i-frames, it won't. If you're also going to talk about minecarts, those don't work too. A grappling hook does work, though it detaches itself after some time, thus defeating the AFK nature. Is it really that hard to just use a frog leg???

Another way you can potentially improve this farm is by using a sentry like the Portal Staff directly below you just incase a Hallowed Mimic does activate.
as im settting up this farm, i got the rod of discord.
If your heavy object won't work than try tilting it and then getting an object to keep it tilted since then it will press on the key

Centry turrets like ballista turrets in the afk chamber can help with mimics

Does it work in an underground hollow's desert?
nowadays i just set up columns 4 blocks high, sit in the middle and let my summons take them out while i set my controller on autoswing lol

I know this video might be a bit outdated, but for anyone new here just place a shadow candle nearby. It nullifies all the requirements, so you can be in front of wall and you can be standing still. There only has to be the pearlstone.

Whenever I play journey (it's fun when you need to relax and just build and stuff) I get my items from free item servers or save editors, but when I wanna actually play I don't use servers n stuff. It's kinda fun to grind for stuff.
You don’t have to jump you can just use a grapple hook and it will register that you are moving 😅
