It's really interesting to see that they are moving more stuff to be data-driven. If only blocks and items could be added like this (like actual blocks/items, not some variant of existing ones with a different model/texture) we might see a decline in mods popularity since basically everything can then be done via datapacks

Some more info that wasnt in the changelog, the mace was nerfed, the damage is down to 6 and the attack speed is 0.5 now (slower than an axe), another thing is that some enchantments will also add info to the item description, for example, if you have a protection 4 chestplate, in the description it will say like "40% reduced damage". There is also a new entrance Room that is a spiral staircase, and about the fire aspect thing, you need to right click the candle to light It, there is even a bug that you can use fire aspect to light redstone lamps and furnaces because the TAG that light them have the same name

If you look at the new paintings there's a chunk of each one that is part of another painting, so the fact that they are looking at being able to chop up the paintings means they are laying the ground work to make the "secret painting"

Xisuma, you should stay updated with the minecraft youtube channel, they literally announced the paintings AND their names in the same video days ago.
They should put redstone torches over empty chests to show you.

On my server, you place the painting and then can right click to cycle through them, rather than chopping and replacing. Much simpler.

I dont know if this would be controversial, but I feel like thorns should only be applied to melee damage. It doesn't make much sense for projectiles, and it would give the guardians and lamas their imunity back
They made the snapshots way too convoluted
Plese Xisuma make a new vanilla tweaks data pack which allows for extracting enchantments from tools/armors ETC, separating them into different enchanted books and applying them to gear!
9:10 – you just right click on the candle with the fire aspect sword and it lights them, you don't have to hit other mobs first. (and just using a fire aspect book works too!)

The sweeping thorns mechanic will absolutely destroy manual guardian farms
so… That crafting bug with the copper trap doors isn't just with the trap doors. Its with EVERYTHING
Making planks and turning ore blocks to igots doesn't use the ingredients because of some glitch. If you want to duplicate objects this is the time to do it.

Seems like they are working on rewriting parts of the base code in minecraft java meaning that it will be very clean and easy to work with soon

I think most people, especially on hermitcraft, would rather use blocks than ingots to craft, if it means they don't have to oxidise the copper themselves

8:38 Call me crazy, but doesn't Bane increase damage against spiders and creepers? This bug fix shouldn't affect your given example, but it would make sense if you switched out creepers for almost any other mob (Bane also applies to cave spiders).
