I wish I remember who it was that did the video, but I remember someone posting a video to youtube claiming that even though most people don't know his name, Kristoffer Zetterstrand is the worlds most viewd artist, and then backing it up by numbers. Feels like that might become relevant again…
Cool paintings, but I wish there were more 1×2 for variance though.
They're okay but this isn't really new game content, it's just Mojang mucking about doing nothing again.
vanilla tweaks could change the paintings to be the real picture of the paintings

The painting with the 'scary lurking face' looks like a Skyrim word wall to me. Considering there's also Counter Strike in the original painting set, that's my best guess. Delighted to get the OG artist back again, the style and surreal visuals always made the original set feel so distinct.
There's definitely a creeper face in the lower right hand corner of #10
The one that looks like a skeleton in a museum looks more like a megatherium, aka a giant slot.
The paintings are such a pleasant addition! They’re something that can easily get pushed to the side (as they have for years) but we really needed them. I already can’t wait to try these out!

Isn't painting number 12 the old minecraft skull painting with fire from the side behind something. Xisuma thought the skull was a planet
They really should consider finally adding those 4 elemental paintings, this is best time to do this with other paintings and goes with theme with Mojang adding another elemental variant of blaze.

No. Everyone uses the 2×1, 1,2, 1×1 etc.

Literally commented on the last paintings that I wish they added odd dimension paintings, and they sure did deliver with these! Love this, and quite a few new ones as well!
The fact that you can actually make a decent art gallery in Minecraft now. This was a W for collectors
