I think it knows you don't have time to grow the summer crop so it already starts producing the next season in dig spots
I love the role play aspect of this series! Btw you get next season special crops the season before when there isn't enough time left to grow the previous season seeds

10:30 dude get it together, you wouldn't be able to grow squashes anymore in summer, so you get the next season seeds, would be troll if the game gave you the seasonal that won't be able to be planted and harvested anymore, no? Just logical
