Aha!!!! I knew i wasn’t going crazy!!! I had a weird string in the beginning of my first play through of 1.6 where frenzies happened often and would disappear so fast. I thought I was going mad because i couldn’t find evidence that fish bubbles had changed
CA needs to make these last all day. Actually, it is very useless when it is cheap fish (carp, herring, anchovy, etc.). It would be best if it only happens as the most valuable fish in the biome (i.e. largemouth, catfish, sturgeon, etc.)

I'm in year 2 of my 1.6 playthrough and have yet to see a frenzy, even with ten fishing and the spoiler rod.

One time i got a sturgeon frenzy and I managed to reach it early, I ended the day with 17 sturgeons

Are they no longer seeded?
I've only had two frenzies, and they were both chub frenzies, on consecutive days 😅
