I think 1.22 HAS to do with dimensions wether it's the end update or adding a new one because we've already had enough non-specific updates and the only big aspect of the game left to be updated is the end. So it's either the end/new dimension update or another "smaller" update which will definitely disappoint a lot of players leading to reduce the game's popularity by considerable numbers. The choice is theirs I guess 🤷

Idk man the problem is youtubers like this just post videos not releasing anything new but instead release speculations that everyone has been thinking about in the first place anyways. People click on videos like thus thinking they are getting insider information on new features that noone else knows about and instead they get speculation and high hopes. I am suggesting to keep Chanel progression from plummeting it would be wise to try a new content form such as advocating for feedback posts or let's plays.

I have a feeling this dimension or dimension update has been being worked on in the background for ages already in an attempt to avoid a caves and cliffs style split. The potato dimension was the staff excited too show off the dimension technology they have been working on and gauge players interest in the me hanic while aso downplaying its significance in theory too the player base. That is what i would do in their shoes
The biggest clue being that we have a portal in the ancient city that doesn't work yet. And in case you're not convinced it's a portal.. you should know that Mojang already created an activated/portal version of reinforced deepslate and it's available in creative mode in Minecraft China edition
The only things I'm looking forward to is another dimension and hardcore mode for bedrock edition
(I've been to every structure and looted them all and hardcore mode is something that bedrock edition has been missing for a long time it's about time they introduce it)

You look into Minecraft thousands times more than Mojang itself.
Mojang is like someone without much driving experience or orientation sense that is driving without having a clue where they are doing. They are doing Minecraft "day by day" if they happen to ever announce there would be a new dimension its because fans will have talked about it so much that they would see if the next logical thing to do. I would in no way be their vision.

Well quite a lot of people want 1.22 to be the end update because yeah nether update was 1.16 and not that much theories are going around that the END videos are for a new dimension.
Who need deep dark dimension in Minecraft?
Mojang officially said that new dimension will not be added until all existing dimensions will not be updated.
If they add the villager rebalancing changes In 1.21 I want the update to be called: Chambers and Traders
How do you get your client to change/load dimensions so fast? I've seen some folks do it before, but nobody ever explains how they do it…
In a way I do believe that we are going to get end update but it's not going to be for a long time what Mojang really needs to do is add more nature updates
