Why Terraria is SUBJECTIVELY a BAD Game

1 year ago I would never have thought of saying this but now I prefer Terraria to Minecraft, it was only after I seriously started playing the game that I was able to notice this difference. For me Minecraft is a game for children, that is to say that the game is generally simple without hidden mechanics (redstone is an exception and is cool), it's not a bad point but in my case Minecraft is finished by being bored. Terraria was for me an incredible sequel to Minecraft, especially because of its difficulty and the number of amazing things you can do just in vanilla (you can literally play golf). In the end, I don't think there was a comparison between the games, Minecraft being more of a construction game where Terraria is closer to an action game, everyone has their preferences and that's normal.

I genuinely don't agree with a lot of the majoritively negative comments, especially the ones saying "block this channel" or "least favorite person". From my own experience with the terraria community as a whole that its a much less toxic fanbase than the minecraft fanbase (I'm speaking from experience with both). Ragebait will always work and will bring out the negativity in a community no matter the community.

A lot of the comments from you're terraria video were mainly stating how you had a poor mindset when going into the game, not enjoying the game because you tried to not have fun. When you go into a game expecting it to be unfun and thinking that you just have to suffer through it for about an hour will impact your perception of the game as a whole which is why a lot of people didn't like the video, me included. (including the 'THIS IS SATIRE' comment in description was a bad choice as not many people go into video descriptions and at most should have been in the top line of the description so people are forced to see it when going to the comments)

but I'm glad you cleared some stuff up within this video. And I do agree, some UI elements are clunky, generally not new player friendly and I also don't get why the save and exit button is in the settings menu inside the inventory menu (for the first few months playing the PC version I always alt-f4'd to quit the game because I didn't know how to save and exit until a friend told me to).

The comments under this video are also unfortunately disappointing as well as they didn't get past the first 2 minutes to hear your real arguments about the game. (but also at the same time there was a bit of a spiteful sense that did linger in that first 2 minutes)

I do apologize on the behalf of the unfortunate few who did leave comments that over stepped the boundary, and I can assure you that the terraria community as a whole isn't like that.

Never played terraria btw

I genuinely like this, its a dcently made video, thats well scripted and edited. But every turn i feel like theres a backhanded statement about terraria. Which from all angles only looks like the result of being more used to minecraft than terraria itself. There are some fair points made about Ui and stuff, but playerbase and popularity dont show how good a game is.

I would say minecraft is definitely geared towards people who arent inherently gamers, with its simple to understand gameplay and finesseable fighting mechanics, in conjuncton with the pretty much limitless creative aspect of it. Whereas terraria is built for people who know their way around a game or two, with more information and materials to allow for a broader and longer expereince. That's overwhelming for a lot of new players, but its meant to be showing you something new every day for the entire playthrough which can last months.

One thing i would say is lacking in terraria is multiplayer mechanics, theres no real way to have a server like hypixel work there (at least efficiently). So overall its moreso a single player experience more often than not (although i know quite a few people who play with eachother).

honestly nobody actually cares about your opinion, you just are genuinely a bad person. your voice hurts to listen to, you're constantly using unnecessarily inflammatory language towards the people who disagree with you, probably because your butthurt, and you don't even have a thousand subscribers, which is i think the worst part of all.
