There is a ton of new content added to the stardy valley 1.6 update but one of the biggest ones and most exciting is the brand new festivals added to 1.6 there are two mini fishing festivals called the Trout Derby and the squid Fest and we’ve got a main one which is

Over at the desert which is a 3-day event similar to the winter night market we’re going to cover and show them all off today this will be my first ever time I want to see what they look like how fun they are and I’m super super excited right I’m going to start with

The fishing ones oh golden tag turn this into the Trout Derby Boo for a reward but where is it this is you can change the way your bubber is by the way um so when it goes in the water normally it’s this like Pokeball what I

Used to call it and now you can actually change the way the style is which I think is kind of cool so if you want it just to be a hook you can do that so here we go guys this is the booth this is where you trade in

All of your tokens or tags that you get here golden tags you only get them by catching rainbow trout uh as many as you can get you randomly there’s a small chance to get golden tags and then you can trade them here in the booth for prizes and look also our bobber has

Changed a hook which I love the hook is amazing you can see there’s a few random people here fishing as well trying to get all those tokens the annual Trout Derby during this event rainbow trouts have a chance of carrying a golden tag if you find one turn it in for a prize

Let’s take a look at the rewards we’ve got a tent kit use this to deploy a onetime used tent for sleeping can only be used Outdoors oh my God so if you out and you don’t want to go back and sleep or you can’t make it home in time or we

Just want a little Adventure camping look at this guys we can pull up here in the woods pop up the tent and we can actually go to sleep for the night look how cool this looks similar to The Cookout kit it’s only going to last one night so these festivals are different

To the main ones because time will constantly pass and the shops and homes throughout the valley are not closed as well so if you want to go to Pa’s General store or something they will still be open you know because nobody attends this Festival uh it’s just

Literally a little event that you can do every year to try and get some rewards oh someone just caught one there did you see that now there is one item that you can get from the reward which I really want is one of the new hats

There’s quite a lot of new hats added to 1.6 uh oh oh No Tag but there’s not many items you can get from here guys if you don’t want to listen to spoilers please listen away right now but for the people who don’t care the only rewards you can

Get from this are the T kits which I’ve just got Omni geod triple shot espressos quality sprinklers which I think is amazing and also a bucket hat which is the brand new new hat that I want now there is another Festival very very identical to this one the Trout

Derby and that is called the squid Fest it’s basically the same but it happens in Winter the 12th and 13th of every winter and in this one basically you can catch squid all day and kind of the same thing and then you can trade the squid in to be exchanged for prizes and

Similar to the Trout Derby the shops are still open as normal time passes as normal I do recommend though to craft a bait maker for this one so you can obtain some squid bait as this will really help reduce the time needed to catch the required squids and if you’re

Thinking what the hell are you on about Sharky this is what I’m talking about this is the brand new item in the game that you can craft called bait maker and basically whatever fish you put in there you will get a specific bait to help increase the chance of catching that

Fish so if you craft a bait maker Chu a squid in there you will get squid bait and this is really going to help catch squid and you’ll get a lot of rewards faster the rewards and prizes are a little bit different in the squid best because there’s four tiers of prizes

There’s copper iron gold and aridium and basically the squids needed for each tier are shown to the left of the shop so there’ll be a little board and it will tell you how many idium squid they want how many Gold Silver and copper and these are daily goals they will change

And the prizes and requirements will change from one day to the next as well but bear in mind as well the squid counter that you’ll catch will reset between the days so if you catch let’s say five squid on the first day you sleep go back that counter will go back

To zero so yeah try and stay there all day long catch as many as you can and the more iridium the better there is a special book that you can get which is the new skill books in the game as the aridian prize but this is only available

On the second day of the event where you’ll need 10 iridium squids to earn it quite a tough one so here we go this is the desert Festival which begins on the 15th of spring till the 17th in the desert similar to the travel lady we now

Have the book seller which is used for a special thing in the game which is going to be in a separate video also I love the new icons that change the color of the uh the wine and the jelly now depending what product you put in there

I think it’s so good little little things like that for me are the best this is also part of the new festivals this is a weather event or some kind of change and we’ve got green rain this happens in summer only and it seems like I’ve got it on the 16th so

This is a weather seasonal event for summer not not sure what it is or what is happening but yeah we’ve got green rain and Everything’s changed green imagine if this rain lasted all summer the plants would take over the entire Valley there’s another tree here look at this look how different this

Looks it’s like making all the the things the trees change they’re all so different now maybe that’s what the rain’s doing I’m trying to figure it out in my head but look they’re all different especially down here in the forest we’ve got quite a lot of different ones now it almost looks like

Rainforest trees are they Al also some kind of new weeds do you see those we’re getting moss you can Scythe the Moss off the trees so Moss is a new item in the game and this event I’m guessing just allows you to get or obtain Moss easily this

Rains making the Moss appear on the trees and you can either chop them down or Scythe them uh to get it and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be used for something but look at all the Moss oh we got a Mossy seed so this can actually be

Planted to grow rare wild trees which is these ones so they look different they will be amazing on the Meadow Farm having these kind of special trees here oh look there’s one of the big ones that we saw so I think if you don’t Scythe them they get bigger and bigger with a

Rain so here we go it is the 15th this was the letter before but there’s a 3-day Festival in the desert with the bus back in order we are all delighted to be able to continue this time there will be gains free food prizes and much more also Two Towns people are selected
