Shimmer block this near impossible challenge is unlike anything I’ve ever played in my 1,000 plus hours of Terraria instead of spawning in a lush world full of resources at your disposal you spawn on a small obsidian island with a pool of Shimmer surrounded by the abyss with nothing other than this small

Island it may seem that there is no way to progress let alone beat the final boss Moon Lord but that’s where I tell you you’re wrong by the end of this video we’ll have gone from having nothing but this tiny island with no other resources at hand all the way to

Beating the final boss of pre hard mode the Wall of Flesh before we get into the video I’d like to give credit to the person who created this insane challenge Chief Logan who has a YouTube channel of his own which I highly recommend you check out please give him the support he

Deserves and without any more waste of time let’s get into the video the first thing we’re greeted with upon joining the world for the very first time is exactly what I just said in the introduction a small obsidian island with a pool of Shimmer no trees

No dirt no NPCs or anything else for that matter with any normal character we truly would not be able to make any progress in this world but thankfully for us our character is different our character is a medium core character if you’re unfamiliar with what a medium

Core character is all you need to know is that upon death you drop all of your items on like a classic character which keeps your precious inventory safe at the expense of your coins this is important for us seeing as we can throw all of our tools into the Shimmer

Breaking them down into copper and wood from here we can place these blocks on the island and kill our character by jumping off the island and falling to the bottom of the world that’s great in all you may be thinking but are your tools actively broken down to the raw

Ingredients and placed down with no way to reobtain them no you see when a medium core character dies they respond with the basic tools allowing us to infinitely drop our items into the Shimmer get blocks die and repeat this is a somewhat lengthy process seeing as

You have to follow all the way way down to the bottom of the world each time you want a couple more blocks but seeing as this is the only option we have currently we must endure this lengthy descent the first thing I do with my new found blocks is to build a platform

Above the Shimmer this platform will prove to serve two main purposes the first being a faster way to kill our character and the second being that we can now spawn in slimes from here the progression seems to slow down quite a bit with dying to mobs especially during

The night being the new Norm however after several hours yes it really took several hours I finally got a slime to spawn with a bomb inside of it this is crucial for our progression seeing as once we have met all requirements for the demolitionist to spawn we can

Virtually get an infinite number of blocks to expand our Island but that doesn’t make sense the demolitionist sells explosives which blows things up how can you get an infinite number of blocks from that well you see by throwing the copper we obtain from our tools into the Shimmer we can get stone

And when you throw Stone into the Shimmer you get dirt and once you have 25 dirt and a bomb we can make a dirt bomb which may not sound like a revolutionary item at first glance Until you realize just how much dirt a singular dirt bomb yields but before I

Got to do any of that this happened normally I would be ecstatic to get a slime R after all they only have a 4.9% chance of occurring each day on a master mode world and this would certainly help with getting slime banners ores money and perhaps even a slime staff however

Having a slime rain occur this early scared me seeing as I was needless to say unprepared and feared losing my bombs and personally I dreaded the idea of needing to wait for another slime to spawn with them thankfully the Slime rain ended without much death on my end

And before King Slime even had a chance to spawn in anyway now that I have a reliable source of blocks my first move was to expand my Island out to the left where I then built a quick mob grinder which allowed me to farm a bunch of

Slimes and zombies to fund all the Rope I would need to descend into the under World safely this time that is while I was in the Underworld I killed several lava slimes in order to obtain a bucket of lava which is crucial for the next step in our progression how did I get

This bucket you may be asking by tossing an anvil I bought from the merchant into the Shimmer of course getting a bucket of lava is crucial due to the fact that by tossing into the Shimmer we can get honey which isn’t that important All Things Considered but by tossing the

Honey back into the Shimmer we can get ourselves a bucket of water and using a simple water duplication glitch I was able to fill a large enough pool for me to fish in but there was one problem I didn’t have any bait or a fishing rod

For that matter but I mean is a fishing rod even necessary to get bait I needed to make a platform underground for worms along with jump stun Critters to spawn however this proved to be quite dangerous without having the NPC Town’s ability which reduces monster spawn

Rates sadly while I was trying to make said platform I did end up dying and losing all of my items in the process RP zombie arm you are a good one weapon even though I thought about quitting I decided to push onward seeing as dying in this challenge was inevitable and

Actually the only reason I was able to get to where I was at the moment so I bought some more basic items from the NPCs and moved two of them underground to reduce the monster spawn rates after the NPCs moved in money was no longer a problem seeing as gem Critter sell for

About 11 silver each and boy did I get a lot of them with this new found wealth I was able to buy myself three more anvils and later another 10 which I sacrificed to the Shimmer in order to get a sword and a full set of armor along with

Finally caving in and making a fishing rod after giving up on my dreams on ever catching a fish with my bare hands almost immediately after I started my fishing journey I fished up my first wooden crate which procured a tsunami in the bottle an upgrade I was extremely

Excited to get especially this early on and from here it wasn’t long till I fished up my first golden crate upon opening said crate I got 18 gold coins which although being good is by no means the item I was going for from this crate you see there’s a one in8 chance that

When you open a gold crate you will receive a life crystal in fact fishing up gold crates is the only way I can get Life Crystals in this world at this point I realized that Not only was fishing going to be the only way I could make any real progress but

That it was going to take an absolutely obscene amount of time in an attempt to make my life a little easier I bridged out to the left ocean where I proceeded to spend an entire 40 minutes or so placing water the reason for all of this

I wanted the angler to spawn and for some reason decided to make entire artificial ocean instead of placing a couple sand blocks and calling it a day but all was not lost for I did eventually get the angler which was nice seeing as we can get a bunch of fishing

Upgrades such as accessories potions an armor set and quite possibly the most prized possession of them all the Glorious golden fishing rod it was also around this time during a fishing session where I managed to get my first life Crystal and while I’m not going to

Announce every time I get one you will notice my health gradually increased throughout the video at this point i’ had been using a swordfish I’d caught as my main weapon for quite some time and decided to get an upgrade the best sword I could get at the time was the starfury

With the only requirement being that I made and fished in an artificial skylike not much later I received a message alerting me to the second slime rign of this Challenge and unlike the first time I felt I was actually ready to fight King Slime even though Spirits were running

High at the moment I had one fatal flaw which resulted in my death the fact that I was not anticipating King Slime to teleport behind me which all things considered I probably should have anticipated seeing as King Slime is literally a ninja or at least has the

Ninja inside of him or I don’t know how that works but King Slime has a ninja that that’s all I need to say after failing to King Slime I knew I needed more Health which meant more fishing the only problem was that fishing was extremely slow I

Already had the angler but it took ages for a new day to come around and form the refresh his quest so I made myself a bed in order to speed things up a bit even with the bed there was a lot of downtime where I couldn’t do anything

But luckily I do have a piano next to me at every given moment to pass time with a bed at my disposal I was breezing through angler quests and my work did not go unnoticed quite the opposite actually okay okay hold up hold up hold

Up I am not prepared for this in the slightest I don’t have an arena but what I do have is I have a long long line but also another problem is that natural mob spawning is going to be an issue thankfully I was wrong about natural mob spawns being an issue and

Managed to beat the eye of cthulu on my first attempt securing the first boss being killed on this world bam oh that’s beautiful first Relic on this world and also we have the shield of catho which this is important I didn’t talk about this earlier but this is the only Shield of

Cthulu that we can get in this in this entire play through because we don’t have any like demon alter uh Crimson alter we don’t have any of that so this is the only time we’ll ever get this cuz the aulu will not spawn naturally anymore we can’t craft a summon so we

Have to be very careful to keep this because this is a really good item that I typically use up till the very end of the game most of the time okay I can’t make this up I cannot make this up this is what the the

Third oh hey Bob uh my my cat just jumped up on my desk as I’m recording this um this is the third slime rain I’ve had in this world um I I don’t know how many hours I have probably less than 25 so that is um

A lot Bob please don’t please don’t go on the keyboard oh and he jumped down off of the desk okay right yeah GG G GG’s wow there we go cool took long enough to get it to celebrate getting the golden fishing rod I do want to open up all these golden

Crates cuz I’ve had these for a little while now not too long All Things Considered but we did get four Life Crystals which is nice for far too long now I’ve been pretty much all alone in my efforts of fighting off foes but during this Blood Moon things were about to change

Oh wait I got it wait I’m recording yo no way I’m recording yo dude finally finally finally finally finally finally dude Jesus Christ acorns being purchased grass seeds being purchased it’s a beautiful day it is a beautiful day in the world look at this look at this yeah yeah

Yeah bam we’re getting grass baby that’s not even the best part the best part is probably the fact that with said grass also I can’t put grass on that cuz that’s the desert or at least it will be but I can get trees actually I should plant some uh acorns down now

So they have time to grow but look at this it’s so beautiful also nice quacks Ane dude with life teaming on my world for the very first time I set myself to make a jungle biome this would unlock several items including a boom stick which would enable me to get the Arms

Dealer feral claws to Auto swing and other items otherwise unobtainable I swear to God if I have another traveling Merchant that has nothing remotely useful I’m going to be mad yo yo yo yo yes m m m M yes yes yes with my brand new gray zapinator I easily started and

Cleared the Goblin Army which allowed me to find the goblin Tinker who is extremely easy to find on this world for rather obvious reasons J I don’t see why not after getting scammed by the goblin Tinker for all of my money I bridged out to the right of the world to find

Skeletron and I know I said that there is truly nothing in this world other than the starting Island but in order to make this world actually possible to beat GF Lan had added a single lizard brick and an alter before I fought Skeletron I managed to obtain the last

Life Crystal needed for full health indisputably one of the biggest accomplishments I’ve achieved th far no way on my first attempt at Skeletron things weren’t looking all too well for me but miraculously I died but what did you really expect for me to beat Skeleton on my first attempt even when I had

Forgotten to buff up however on the second night I actually did manage to be Skeletron and while there was no dungeon for me to unlock I was now one step closer to entering hard mode see that Skeletron you’re nothing without your hands you’re nothing without your hands

You’re weak you’re bad just get good well that was easy while I wanted to jump immediately from fighting Skeletron to beating the ball of flush I knew I needed to do several things before that firstly I decided to make an underground jungle in the hopes to craft a set of

Jungle armor this would not only give me a greater defense but would buff magic weapons secondly I still needed to make a platform at the bottom of the world to prevent any possibility of me losing my items to the void for a second time however while I was waiting for the

Jungle spores to grow this happened ah I was just playing piano bro Jesus Christ another slime rain hello what is going on um I mean okay huh dude I’m clipping that after beating King Slime for a second time I proceeded to craft myself a magic mirror along with finally getting myself the jungle

Armor there we go at this point there was only one thing that was left standing between me in hard mode the guide so I tossed a voodoo doll into the lava and was immediately met with something I truly was not prepared for where are you where is your where

Where why are you all the way up there while I did eventually come up with a pretty sound strategy for dealing consistent damage it too late for me to beat the Wall of Flesh on my first attemp this might actually work this might actually work all because of the oh wait no it’s

Not no it’s not okay let’s be honest I’m going to need a a larger Bridge much larger Bridge however just like Skeletron I managed to beat the Wall Flesh on my second attempt this time seemingly out of the blue oh wait wait wait wait what wait what what what

Huh okay sorcer emblem that’s good for me cuz I’m kind of going to the magic setup especially now that I can get the crystal serpent a demon heartt finally so we got another accessory slot for a sorcerer emblem and got this which I mean is pretty good
