In the last video I’ve made a tier list for each minion. This time I make a tier list for the sentry, a summoner weapon too but unlike minions, the sentry can only stay in one place and use a different slot. This video doesn’t rank whips or minion-summoning staff, just the main sentries staves and items, for that you can check my previous video.
Sentries are not as many as minions, overall they are quite useful and many of them are in the upper tier, only a few are lacking in my opinion. Its a really nice to have one or more of them during battles since it’s not interrupting the minion capacity, especially for summoner gameplay.
Apart from that, I also took references from the Terrarria Forum and Wiki. It was hard for me to make this list which is why it took so much longer and it was worth it in the end.
I’m sure the tier list I made could cause controversy, whether you agree or not is up to you. I appreciate each of your opinions and consider writing them in the comments below.

Can’t wait till this channel blows up
Who unironically uses the explosive trap sentry? It’s only usable (but still not useful) if used alongside its signature armor sets, and even then, the crowd control sucks and it sucks against fast moving and flying bosses as well. The flame burst sentries are at least serviceable, but the explosive trap falls far behind every other sentry in the game. Definitely in need of a rework.

Nah bro Explosive trap sentry is easily A tier at least. It's just the most OP sentry against OOA, and is able to take down flying enemies if there are ground enemies to trigger it. Makes OOA a breeze. I just sit there after setting up 4 of these on each side
Explosive trap is the best ooa sentry. Just a few can completely lock down waves. With red riding it can obliterate betsy without you doing anything if you place it in a platform just above the crystal.
Explosive trap has the highest dps ceiling and it really isn't hard to get use out of in ooa and events.

Frost hydra sucks. It's rare af, and it's worse than t3 ballista. It uses static iframes, so you don't even get much use out of having more than one. Just use qspider instead.
