Underground Steampunk Bunker! || Terraria Speedbuild

Rise and Gru my name is tetsumi and welcome back to another Terraria Speed Build today we are attempting to build an underground bunker in a sort of Steampunk style and as with most of my Terraria speed builds I had no idea what I was doing before I started building

More so than usual if you can believe that I took to Ms paint to utilize my Divine Angelic artistic prowess I wanted to push this build a little bit further and try to incorporate some sort of story element into it when I think of Steampunk I usually think of a few

Things big industrial cities flying machines and a merger of wooden structures reinforced with some type of metal to try and incorporate all this into the build I had the idea to make the Surface look super Bland like a concrete jungle with no plants or life whatsoever the idea was that the

Steampunk people made a sort of hidden Safe House underground where they can live and work on their machines without the city finding them the block pallet for this abovegr area is mainly a combination of gray brick wall red brick wall and green slab wall all painted

Gray on the top area I tried to make make a fence design with some workbenches fence in between them and hammered platforms on top and back to the underside I attempted some support archways with Palladium columns I think the fence on top ends up looking really good but at the moment without the

Underground part of the build this sort of just looks like a subway station which actually might be fun to build in the Future W What’s speaking of the underground we can now move on to clearing out the area underneath the surface and plan out this build while I was finishing up the surface I also went back and finalized the MS paint design and settled on something like this instead of the

Rubble on the right side it’s just going to be another entrance for the NPC houses and that black box on the left side is going to be a teleporter to a second lower level where I’ll eventually have my elevator and possibly some more NPC houses I start the underground by

Building the first hallway that will Overlook the storage and crafting area and uh while I’m building here’s a little peek into my psyche wow I I have no idea what I’m doing and these look terrible if I were simply building support arches it would be a lot easier

But because I need to fully incorporate these into the build by surrounding them with walls and making them walkable they just look kind of ugly but here’s the thing if you just keep building the same thing time after time you’ll never improve and with this build in particular I’m definitely pushing myself

A little bit outside my comfort zone and I’m hoping that once I start adding more walls and structure it would eventually look more natural and spoiler alert I do really like how this ends up looking even if this build does turn out to be trash which I mean come on I’m the best

Terraria Builder that’s probably on YouTube in probably even that has ever existed ever forcing myself to build in Styles I’ve never tried before is what makes building fun for me and later down the line if my skills have improved and I come to find this build really was

Trash then that would make a great future video of me remaking this build but better so subscribe if you want to see my future builds anyway I’m mainly using a combination of copper and Tin walls Living Wood wall mahogany wall and a that just might be my new favorite

Ashwood wall as a Bas layer which I paint Brown W W W Next I laid out some of the foundation for my next few rooms and then started working on the right side NPC houses the block pallet is pretty much the the same as the rest of the build although I eventually go back and add in some white Dynasty walls for the living areas I

Also wanted to put a bit more effort into my decorations for this build and one of my main goals was to design a spiral staircase with a handrail using mine cart rails depending on how fast the video is sped up you’ll probably see me go through a few different designs to

Make it look good these rooms end up being pretty small so I was only able to fit a few beds and a table in them but because of this I had the idea to extend the living area to under the stairs and put chippy’s couch and a bookshelf there W W W W W After finishing those houses I don’t quite know what I want to do for the main storage area yet so instead I go back up to the first floor and work on the Green Room the area I have for this room is pretty small which made it

Pretty fun to try and fit everything in pause to get in this room I made a ladder out of Dynasty workbenches using the tele trick where you stack teleporters and it allows you to stack certain blocks then the rest of the area is pretty standard other than the

Waterfall I made by making it look like a part of the wall was caved in and a natural spring was leaking in watering some of the plants but because the waterfall entity would pull up on the floor I also had to hammer in a block

And added a pump to make it look a bit more Realistic W W Next I finally built that black box in my Ms paint diagram I used a cool effect that makes the build look more 3D by outlining the door frame of a new room and then painting the inside of that room with Shadow paint to give it depth

And if you put a teleporter in between the walls and also paint that using Shadow paint you can make it look and act like a staircase by teleporting it to a new room underneath then I did some more Planning by laying out more Foundation I’m eventually going to put a

Elevator under the bottom teleporter and some NPC houses to the right however for the middle area I had an idea to keep it sort of open by separating it using some of the graveyard biome background walls and adding a tree in the Center W W In total this is now the second custom tree I’ve ever made and yeah it looks okay it’s just a little bit flat because I actuate all the blocks so that I can walk in front of it but I think given the context of the surrounding area it makes it look a bit Better W And now that the bottom area is done apart from the elevator we can go back to the thing I was putting off for as long as possible the storage area I’ll be honest I still don’t really know what I want to do with this area so when I

Started building I pretty much just followed the same design that I used with the rest of the build eventually though I decided to do a merge of the bottom area with the wooden beam structure and the living areas with the white Dynasty walls I also put down various workstations that look steampunk

Enough and some other various decorations and here’s a little secret for you but I hid some White gemspark Walls wherever I could so that the build was lit up a little bit more there’s actually some behind the chest that I’ll eventually put up W Hey and actually speaking of hiding things now that the build is complete I went around using Echo blocks and some Echo paint to hide some more torches around the build and also make all these NPC houses valid the reason I had to do this is because since my decorations and

Railings technically mean that there’s a one block Gap in a lot of these rooms I needed to somehow cover up that Gap so they could be technically valid NPC houses it’s a little bit messy but because they’re only Echo blocks I figured it’s fine because you won’t even

See it anyway but after all that’s done this is the complete finished product obviously in these last few Clips the chest in the center were replaced with magic storage modules which are from a mod but other than that every other Block in this build is completely vanilla and Shameless plug but if you

Want to see more of this base or Terraria in general then check out my Terraria thorium series because this is the base that I use in that series and it’s pretty cool so you should check it out but like I said this build is now complete so let me know in the comments

How you like it and drop some suggestions for other builds or tutorials you want to see me do and while you’re at it go check out some of my other videos because I do a lot more than just Terraria content but that’s all for this video like sub subcribe and

I’ll see you in the next one peace
