Ones that built the structures we see in the Overworld event this race of Builders disappear only for us to show up many years later we are a descendant of those ancient Builders building a new civilization until we become so strong that we get yed from our mining session
To fight some piglins do you see the problem here this is a causal Loop by going back in time we cause the chain of events that lead to us being sent back in time it’s a classic time travel Trope Steve literally becomes his own grandfather the Minecraft timeline is

Yeah. Unfortunately Minecraft legends isn’t particularly cannon.
But… I thought they made it clear the player's original world and the Legends world were different and separated.

Still want to know why piglins become zombies now in the over world but not before
I remember when this game barely or didnt even have lore, but i havent played in about 10 years, id probably keep it that way.
This still does not explain the Piglins existence for in a previous theory it was the ancient builders that brought their pet pigs into the nether and those pigs became the Piglins.
