I always get the slime staff, but never got the coin gun

When I was a kid, I spent like an hour just killing things in the corruption to get the corrupted key, 5 minutes later passing the tundra to open the chest is when I see a frozen key drop from a random kill
I also got the crimson key just from randomly passing by
