I Forced Impossible Things to Exist in Vanilla Minecraft

So in a recent video of mine, I showed off a giant sponge in the background. This was done with something called display entities, and these things do some crazy things. Also recently, a mod I’ve been following called Axiom has added some display entity manipulation features.

So now I can use these to rotate and move and scale, and like you can make this thing really long. Which means now I can do some pretty wild stuff in just vanilla Minecraft, obviously with the use of a mod, but this would all show up with- without mods. This is-

So that’s what we’re doing today. We’re gonna create some impossible things in vanilla Minecraft with zero mods, except with a mod to manipulate the thing with zero mods. We’re- we’re making this stuff. And I have a list of five (six) different things that I want to create today.

Starting with a mini block, which is actually really really simple. I can just go in here and set this to something small. And now we have a mini block. Look at how small. I love mini block. It’s so cute. Oh, he’s so tiny. It’s as small as the little interaction icon.

Look at it. Hehehehehehehe. Oh my gosh. They align to a grid? Oh my gosh, wait. Hehehehehehe. Yeah. This is in vanilla Minecraft, by the way. This is what I’m here for. Subscribing and display entities. You can also, you know, make a text display and that kind of works the same.

But I- you know, doing this out of blocks took more time and more effort and it was worth it. It’s a sponge subscribe. Worth it. Cool. Let’s go to the next thing. Okay, the next thing I want to do is a vertical slab. Because we have regular slabs, but we’ve

Always wanted something to go sideways. And trap doors are great, but like, you know, they’re not- they’re no vertical slab. So that makes a vertical slab an impossible thing. Uh, until now. We’ll just take this guy, put it over here, and then we’ll just rotate it. Boom. Vertical slab. Oh, that’s so odd.

So weird. This is not supposed to exist. It’s not supposed to, but it’s so cool. We can also make a stair block out of this. Kind of. I mean, it’s close. I can just walk up this one fully. I can’t quite walk up this one fully, but this also is my next thing.

Uh, I want to try to make impossible stairs. We have the impossible slab. Now I want to make impossible stairs. Oh, this is, oh, it’s a little broken. That’s great. See, this one is less cursed. But then you realize it’s made out of cherry bark. This is very confusing. They just go places. This is just, this is just weird. This is so, this is so odd. What do you think this one’s made out of, huh?

Give a wild guess in the comments. What do you think this one’s made out of? If you guessed mangrove fence, you’d be correct. It’s made out of mangrove fences. What if I can make one out of a button? Oh, I could definitely make this work. Oh man. Yeah. This is so broken.

Oh no. Don’t mind me just stretching a button. It’s working. Yeah, that’s, that’s real cursed. Button stairs, spruce stairs, spruce button stairs. I turned the stairs into a pickle and they actually work this time. Yeah. Pickle stairs. This is a video. All right. We’ve succeeded in making the most impossible stairs. That’s for sure. Oh yeah. That’s still there. We’ve got vertical slabs in Minecraft. We’ve got pickle stairs in Minecraft that actually work now. We’ve got fence stairs, glass stairs, giant floating sponge. And here’s where things get a little bit

Interesting because we’re going to leave the realm of regular blocky Minecraft. My next goal is to build a pyramid. And there’s two ways I can do this. One of which is simpler than the other, but won’t look as good. And the other one, which is a little bit more complicated.

I think I can do it though. Let me just move all these cursed objects over here. This is, this is great. All right. Pyramid time. So to do this, I’m going to start with sandstone and I think I just need to do a bunch of these. Yeah. Okay.

So this is how this first version is going to work. Just a bunch of these all stacked on top of each other. Okay. So that’s one type of pyramid. It’s a very cursed type of pyramid, but you know, it works super well. This is so weird to see in vanilla Minecraft.

You know what we can do now is, uh, yes, great pyramid of, uh, subscribe. This is so weird. Okay. So that’s one version of the pyramid. Uh, the other version is a little bit less, um, maneuverable. All we really have to do for this one is,

It’s not a block anymore. It’s just a pyramid, uh, which is cool. It, I think this one actually, I like more, but this one I think is more weird and cursed. It does definitely just kind of look like a block sticking out of the ground though. So, you know, there’s that.

And with that, I’ve got two more, two more very cursed, weird things. One of which I don’t even think I’m going to be able to do, but I’m going to try it anyways. We’re going to do it right here. I am going to attempt to create a sphere and this is all I

Would be doing to create this sphere. It’s just a lot of these. This is all I could think of doing for creating a sphere. This is already, this is so tedious. A little longer than a few minutes later. So I made a barrel. I don’t know if there’s a way to

Duplicate this though. Oh my gosh, that is very cursed. Wow. Circles in Minecraft. I really want to be able to duplicate this whole thing. Um, hmm. Okay. There’s not a way to duplicate this. I don’t think if this works, I’m going to be so impressed.

Oh, I got to do this in a, oh no. I feel like it’s possible. I just don’t, uh, maybe the sphere isn’t possible. I feel like it’s got to be possible though. Right? It’s got to be possible. I’m going to do some, I’m going to try something. Thousands of tears later. Okay.

Wait, it’s just doing one. Wait, I might be able to fix that. Oh, oh, I got it. Okay. That’s actually awesome. Oh dude. Yes, it’s working. I think I need a lot to make this the like sphere exist, but it’s, it’s working. Okay. I’m going to try to actually start

Spinning these a little bit. We’re getting the start of it. We’re getting the start of it. This is, this is getting somewhere. So many display entities in here. Oh man. Oh my gosh. This is actually, I think this is actually going to work. No way this actually works. No way.

What if I tried duplicating all of these? No, I have to, I would have to, no, I can’t do that. Dang it. Oh wait. And you know what? Actually, maybe I can. Oh, oh no. I think I broke something. Oh, oh, oh, we’re good. That is wow. That’s really something right there.

Something broke here. Uh, what happened there? But whatever it was, it was not working. So I guess we’re just going to keep doing this. Shouldn’t have ever tried to make things easier for myself. 75 years later. I’m seeing a small flaw in the design of this top part. Not quite being right,

But it’s getting somewhere. This is really weird. I think I also need to make some that rotate up and over. So wow. I think I made my job harder with it being cylinders because geometry. I don’t know though. I’m not sure how geometry works. So we’re just going and

We’re just doing this one by one. A lot of boring math. Oh my gosh. I think that’s all of them in the round there. That’s crazy. What? This is freaking wild looking. I think I need to duplicate this though. I want to try to at least save there. Okay.

So now this is what we have for the sphere. Load. There we go. Okay. This now group. Oh, 16 paranoia. A few days later. Okay. So we were editing the video and I came up with a better way to do this sphere. See, originally what I was doing was I

Was just spinning around this block and that would make sense, except it, uh, I need to spin it more. So instead, what if I shrink it down first and then try to spin it? Oh, oh, there we go. Something like this. If I take this bad boy and duplicate this

A ton of times, this is going to give me a bit of an easier thing to spin around in a circle like these. But, uh, instead of having it being a full cylinder like this, it’s just one super thin cylinder. So we won’t get that weird smooth top thing.

You’ll see what I mean. Hold on. Give me, give me a second. One eternity later. Okay, there we go. Now we have a disc. This disc is going to be way easier to work with, I think. Okay. And now we load it. And now we have two cylinder sphere things. Discs.

That’s what I’m calling these. They’re no longer cylinders. They are discs. So now I can take these discs. And if I turn them, this could actually work perfectly. There’s not a lot of spheres in vanilla Minecraft. Therefore, this one is one of the coolest, but it does not

Take any less time than the cylinder one. So yay. Oh my gosh. Yeah, this is going to work way better. This is going to look so good. Okay, this is getting somewhere. A few inches later. This is looking absolutely absurd. This looks much more like a sphere than that one did.

This is great. I’m loving this. It still just takes absolute ages to do these. Much, much, much. You know, the more I do this, the more I think there’s probably an easier way to do it that I just don’t know. But hey, man, I didn’t come here to do things the easy way.

I came here to do the things. It’s not because I don’t know the easy ways. I totally know them. 12 seconds later. I don’t actually know what I’m doing. I’m just here. I’m just I did that one wrong. 2000 years. This is the last one and there it goes. Yes. Oh my word.

That’s awesome. All right. This is the better one. This is this is so much better. This looks so good. What does it look like? It’s oh, that’s so cool. That’s so cool. This like disk here, I want to figure out how many of these are in here and then I

Want to figure out how many of those are in here. One, two, three, four, five. Wait, I can do the math here. So this is a single square. I did two degrees and that goes all the way to nine. That’s 45 of these. And then these were rotated two degrees each time.

And that meant that it was 180 degrees. Yeah, so that was at 180 degrees. So that was 90 of those. 45, 4050 display entities to make up a sphere. This is pretty amazing. I’m a fan of this. Oh, and now the blue sphere disappears because it never actually existed.

It was all in your mind. So you know what? This is pretty good. This is my sphere. It’s so cool. It looks like I’m looking out of some sort of portal here. That’s freaking wild looking. This is cool. This is so weird. This is look at this. It’s like, oh my gosh.

It’s all okay. That’s one of the things that I wanted to do. That was the one of the last two. And the final thing that’s impossible in Minecraft is I wanted to build my head. I just wanted to build my face, you know, floating up here in the middle of nowhere.

I’ve got to look at my face though to see how I do this. Oh my gosh. Wait, you know what I can do? I’m going to do this with mini blocks. Oh yeah, that’s coming together. This is kind of wild. There’s some little, little lines in there, but you know,
