Dynamite is useless during the fight because of you need to predict when it where blow up it take too long for dynamite to blow up so the wall usually goes past it

You know that terra boots are pre-boss?
Cant you just get crimson armor or something? fighting the biome's respective boss you can get tissue samples/shadow scales by killing the BoC's creepers and breaking pieces off the EoW and just die to them, technically it would count as pre-boss, you can also get molten armor from this by doing the same thing but for the pickaxe.

Using version reverting, you can only have to kill 2 terraria bosses before moonlord, WoF and Golem. If you do not use version reverting then WoF, Golem, and Plantera.
or you could just farm beeswax and make a bunch of beenades to kill the wof even easier
