Do Terraria Beta Worlds work in Terraria 1.4?
Is it possible to take a world from terrarius beta in 2011 and bring it to terraria 1.4 let’s find out together so here is my beta world however in version 1.0 you can see that my character won’t even appear and when i can click on the world
It says incompatible world file but the real question is can we take a world from terraria 1.0 and bring it to terraria 1.4 so let’s now try that so here’s my brand new world as you can see my guide doesn’t have a name and here we are in 1.1 now i can click
On my character but the world won’t load in and it says no backup found but if i bring it to terraria 1.2 the character works and also the world works but what’s the guide called well he’s called zack in terraria 1.3 everything loads but the world loses its name
But in terraria 1.4 everything works perfect meaning you can play original maps in 2021 all right subscribe if you like it and i’ll see you in the next one peace

apparently if you use a version of TEdit that can open beta worlds if you save it and do a slightly newer version of TEdit and save it and keep repeating until you get to the latest TEdit version it might work

The first time I ever played terraria at a friend's house. The guide was named Zach. When I eventually bought the game myself. (Like 5 years ago, lmao) I named my character Zach 2.0 and tried to make the guide off of memory. That was a good time man. A good time. Oh and my guide was not even named Zach and I felt like an idiot lmao

You can paste the world in the world folder a second time and add a .bak at the end

They used to have a system for this where you could transfer your old saves to the new ones by uploading to the cloud but they removed it after console players began exploiting it for duplication
