Struggling to progress through Terraria? This video guide shows the best class loadouts (armors, weapons, buffs, accessories, etc…) for the Melee Class. Divided into 8 stages of the game. Loadouts are based off my opinion AND reviewed by fellow Terrarians! (Links below).

Important Notes
► ≤ = Indicates the item has variants/upgrades which can be used
► * = Indicates the item may be difficult/rare to obtain
► As mentioned in the video, it will not include major progression breaks (e.g. Fighting Duke Fishron Pre-Mechs)

Just used your Ranger guide to complete my first ever solo playthrough, now I plan to use your vids for melee, then summoner, then mage.

The terrasparks are fast but in the combat I use the frog boots, gives a fly boost for the wings, more faster fly

What do you recommend if I don't have crimson to make the berserker's glove?
i reccomend butterfly wings because when ur grinding for turtle armor ur in the jungle collecting clorophyte and killing tortoises you can definitely find multiple moths, especially with a hunter potion
What is the fastest Pre-Boss, Hardmode Melee weapon?
is ancient shadow armor and shadow armor the same or does it have it's differences?
another alternative if you can not get the armour set for pre boss is the jungle armour/ anciant coblat armour. both give 17 defence.
how can i get a chlorophyte armor before plantera?
As a melee player, a shield is so essential throughout the whole game. It doesn’t matter how good you are at avoiding attacks, you will inevitably get hit. And with knock back, you can put yourself in horrible situations that cause you to take more damage. Also you get extra defense which is amazing. There is genuinely no reason to use the star veil or charm of myths over a shield. ALWAYS USE A SHIELD.
Second, just go for the beetle scalemail. The shell is simply a slightly better version of turtle armor. Using the scale mail TREMENDOUSLY boosts melee damage and speed unlike any pre moon lord armor, and it makes the terra blade so over powered. Just use a bunch of defensive based potions and that will make you just as tanky as you would be with the shell.
Third, flame wings are too annoying and difficult to get. Just use butterfly wings for that stage of the game.
Fourth, there’s no reason to use any other weapon in the endgame besides zenith. Nothing is useful anymore. Don’t bother with anything else
Finally, the zenith (along with all the other weapons you offered in endgame) are not effected by melee speed bonuses. This means that wasting three accessory slots on gloves are basically useless. Instead, use the warrior emblem and destroyer emblem. They focus on damage and crit which are bonuses that DO effect those weapons.
including ancient shadow armor is absolutely crazy for pre boss + you can get shadow with ancient shadow through shimmer, + you only included platinum so people who have gold in their world NEED to get ancient shadow. extremely non beginner friendly

Why is fire gauntlet in the pre-plantera loadout, doesn't it require scoria bars to craft? Scoria is post golem right?
