Note: as of december 2022, Empress of Light will bypass any dodge abilities during the day, making the Hallow set, Master Ninja Gear's dodge, etc. useless.
Well i think i know why people may say you have god mode on, can not see you hearts or anything, dont know if you cheated or not but it does look odd. I had not trouble with this boss fight, but i did not do it till after moon lord.
Since she one shots during the day anyway I’m assuming defense isn’t worth crap so I have my stardust cells and legendary morning star with my spooky armor and ufo mount and all menacing summoner accessories. Just gotta master the patterns. As for now, it feels I’m never gonna beat it.
Edit: Got me my terraprisma now :). Just wish it co dropped the kaleidoscope.
Edit: Next terraria day only had one lacewing from the night and got my kaleidoscope. Unfortunately bad prefix but luckily my golbin spawned back in.
Took about 100 practice runs before I developed a consistent strafe strat.
I forgot that buff about the holy armor. I prefer the stardust as it gives me the sentry and a boost in minion summons but as this battle is about not taking hits, I'll need to build a new arena for her and get the endless flight from her before this.
Using a game file from 2018 so yeah not in journey mode
If the hollowed armour lets u dodge a hit after being hit but every hit one shots you then how is it useful? Because the first shot would kill you then you wouldn’t get a chance to dodge the second bc the first one would’ve killed you

Legit empress of light somehow stronger than moonlord bruh, battled moonlord in beetle gear and potions and just a terrablade with daybreak he barely damaged me BUT THEN WHEN I TRIED EMPRESS OF LIGHT I GOT 2 SHOT DAYUM!!! solar armor looks like a joke to empress of light even though its an endgame armor

For people who are watching this now keep in mind that dodge related things no longer work on the empress. So no ninja gear/hallowed armor

I did it in like 10 attempts on mobile expert mode with journey and since you cant use dodges i used all damage buff such as spooky armour with zeno staff and many other summoner damaging accessories and a witchs broom
I recommend that whip empress gives when u beat her normally
But I already defeated her and she wouldn't give me the sword Why?

You used an iron skin and a regen potion for this fight.
for anyone still trying this today as a summoner post plantera, i recommend tiki armour, for the extra whip range, instead of the hallow set as it doesnt work anymore in recent updates, also you dont have to do this but i found more succeful runs by building a 1400 block long asphalt road for better speed, note that you want this road to be relatively low too the ground so you have space for flying, also when you spawn the empress, its best to spawn her in the center of the 1400 blocks, and moving towards the right, this makes it so you will be generally on the left of the empress when she does here dodge ability which i realised makes the sun dance alot easier to dodge and even take advantage of, and even for the ethereal lances
edit: i recommend changing the brain of cthulu with lightning boots
A good setup is also: Remove soaring insignia and wings, replace with witch's broom mount. Remove MNG and Brain of Confusion (dodging doesn't work anymore). In lieu of these accessories, your accessories should be pygmy necklace, papyrus scarab, necromantic scroll, sorcerer emblem, and hercules beetle. Wear Tiki armor, use kaleidoscope, and sanguine staff as weapons.

I spent 55 attempts with the Sanguine Staff while the literal next boss on my list was lunatic cultists, after 55 attempts I just destroyed the cultists beat up the stardust pillar and beat day time empress second try with the Stardust Dragon, I was playing on hard mode with the Sanguine Staff for literally zero reason 🙁

Step on to beat eol daytime 1. dont play summoner or dont go true summoner
Xeno staff 100%, sanguine staff will result in more time sweating your balls off trying to dodge p2
The problems about mobile is that you cant dash properly. And if your playing as summoner, its hard to see if the boss is now attacking! Because when you are using whips your finger block the screen. And its kinda laggy on some of her attacts especially when she is teleporting. And sometimes your controller will not cooperate with you, idk why? but re-logic need to add a dashing button because mobile players will help them alot especially me
