This rare Terraria weapon is seriously worth a try… The Sergeant United Shield. In this video, I take a look at this pre mech boss melee weapon that has a very unique functionality and attack pattern. The only problem is, with it been an incredibly rare piece of traveling merchant stock it can be quite difficult to obtain and in some playthroughs missed all together. But if you see it in your shop and are looking for an easy powerful melee weapon to use, the shield is absolutely worth a try.

i bought because it looked cool had no idea it was a rare merchant drop
I actually got this weapon completely by chance on my first ever Terraria playthrough. I still have it, but I never seriously used it since it just felt too slow for my liking(I also didn't know about the parry feature).
it was very fun to apply ichor to Sprime and twins using this with flasks
Bro I got this exact item from the travelling merchant,which also had the orange zapinator in it!….I'm sad I bought the Zapinator now…
Its fr the best early hardmode weapon imo, it frickin HOMES to nearby 4 enemies
It deals not so great dmg but even some random braindead kid would be able to use it
I found it and it was pivotal in the mech bosses defeat.
i beat plantera for the first time ever with it, no arena or anything
It's a cool weapon but every time I could have bought it I already obtained something better.

I dunno about it beign rare I got it instantly into hardmode hehehe…
decent weapon imo loved it.

i got the united shiekd first day of harcore and the orange zapinator too was available

I use it for awhile it sucked using it in areas like jungle or corruption/crimson where large amounts of enemies attack you, but I did use it to cheese some boss fights since for the twins green eye can't shoot through solid objects I sit in a house with nurse and use the shield to hit them through a platform while I spam heal. My merchant sold it on day 3 of entering hardmode. It helped since i suck at aiming
I managed to get this on my most recent Melee play through.
I'd recommend it if you get it early but I wouldn't say it's worth it to specifically rest in bed waiting for it
what mod allows you to throw so many really quickly also how are you modding the latest version of terraria

i was lucky enough to get it basically right after entering hard mode on a world with a couple of my friends and i would reccomend it
I've played Terraria for 10 years. Over 10 years and I have never used this weapon. I believe I have never even bought it…
I would recommend it I used it in my master mode playthrough and it carried me through the destroyer and skeletron prime and was useful against the twins with it all you have to really worry about is dodging attacks
I beat the duke in get fixed boi with this exact weapon. You have to go outside ocean biome and aggro duke and parry carefully. But once you get the hang of it it's easy!
The perry thing is great cuz you know the weapon attack goes up by whooping 400% dealing massive damage

Hahaha I wouldn't have bought it from the merchant because it's 92 damage but very low knockback and very slow speed turned out to be a scam when I tried it it was very fast. I'm glad I bought it🤣
The shield is no way near as rare as the gatligator I have never seen the gatligator in my over 1000 hours in terraria but seen the shield tens of times

It could be cool for like a tank build to be able to sit there with extra Defense plus if parry worked on bosses just parry their hits
A solid tip for this weapon is pairing it with flasks. I used it in a corrupt world not too long ago, and this thing puts in a whole lotta work with Cursed Flasks.
