The first of the pillar comparisons. I was going to do all of them in one video, but that was wayyy too long. So, this is what you get for now.

  1. I'd say the Eruption is better regardless, during your video against the moon lord, you missed most of the time, but with the eruption's arc, i'd say the tiny distance closer is worth hitting a lot more, less time the enemy is alive, the less likely it'll kill you after all >:)
    But, take me with a grain of salt, as i've only ever used Eruption immediately after using Daybreak once or twice hehe

  2. Eruption does more dps due to the debuff and being slow to coming back like flails,Daybreak is better because of more stability,although i rather pick terrablade,these two are my most least used weapons in my first playthrough

  3. As a melee main him choosing daybreak over eruption because he “shouldn’t have to be up moon lords ass to deal damage”

    The whole point in melee builds is to be close and person with high defense + certain buffs also you def coulda got more damage out of the both of em
    Even if I disagree with your selection there are potions in terraria I do believe that’ll increase damage output in minor ways
    might be wrong tho that might just be modded terraria things

  4. I personally never liked the day break because i had to aim. With the eruption i just just hold my mouse in the general directiong and focus on not dying

  5. I'll be honest, the only reason I clicked is because you made the Solar Eruption look like something else in the tumbnail, you made me go "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?" accidental clickbait lmao. IDK why you didn't just use the normal item sprite.

  6. I found the eruption annoying to use, especially compared to the traditional flails I was used to. Plus, the Daybreak looks way cooler and has a way cooler name.

  7. Honestly Terra Blade helped more for clearing pillars since despite doing less damage it had faster attack speed, meanwhile if I wanted to attack enemies on both sides of me with the solar eruption I would have to wait 2 – 3 seconds for the current swing animation to play out

  8. one thing that was overlooked is that you can make a box with your nurse on the box so that you force the moon lord to stay near you while the solar eruption will pierce through the walls of the box which will deal a lot more damage than the daybreak because you are using the solar eruption at a target that is near you.

  9. I use the solar eruption to hit the top eye after the laser and to destroy the core in the second phase; the daybreak (or more accurately the terra blade) is what I use to hit the hands in the first phase. I prefer terrablade to daybreak as it is more accurate with the large projectiles and doesn't arc when fired. Btw, solar eruption is just better for tanks setups because you can afford to be that close when you can take around 10 hits from ML before being in real danger, making it not so bad to get so close to his eyes and core.
    Oh yeah forgot to mention, daybroken is massively nerfed against moonlord because it wipes the debuff when he blinks.

  10. I hate solar eruption for it's slowness, ussualy before the weapon even hits the enemy already moved too far away for it to be hit

  11. The Daybreak is one of my favorite weapons in the game-
    1. It has a badass name
    2. It is super fun to use
    3. It is great for moon lord fight and basically any non-worm enemy.
    Solar Eruption for pillars, Daybreak for moonlord
