You know what else makes no sense? Living slime creatures, giant slimes that move around and attack you, giant floating eyeballs, animated corpses, invasions of pirates in non-coastal areas, little green humanoids called goblins, etc…

Yeah that's why you put obsidian in the hellstone armor because it's an inter layer that protect you from burning yourself you never asked yourself where the obsidian was did you ?

Hellstone males sense. Hellstone armor is made out of bars forged from hellstone AND obsidian. Obsidian is used to make Obsidian skin potions and Obsidian skulls.

The hellatone bar has obisidian in it, the outer layer is hellstone while the inner is obsidian
i assume the obsidian is going to line it or something and protect from the fire? Like how the obsidian skull protects from the burning as well

The reason hellstone armor doesn't burn you is because you combine it with Obsidian to essentially weaken it so it loses that property.
Hellstone burns you, the ingots don’t. The armour is made of ingots
