Hello! If you're here after 1.4.1, take note that you've got way more options now! I'll make an update video about it, but in general, you can go for the new flinx summon and flinx coat early on, and go for obsidian armour, which is now summoner based! Other changes include the fact that the blade staff is now dropped by queen slime, and many others!

Just got into hard mode and got the pirate staff cause pirates spawned in the first 7 minutes of hardmode

Im a melee player in terraria, but later i switch class to summoner, because i see there was a cool and strong weapon in summoner class, and also summoner class was challenging but that thing makes summoner was very fun to play

Hey! Craft the "Spinal Tap" and use it to fight the Wall of Flesh.
Just a little summoner's tip:
Get the Ice Whip with Spider Armor and (if possible) the Sanguine Staff and then fight the Destroyer FIRST! The Twins summon isn't worth it at all and the Destroyer is child's play with the Ice Whip's snowflake and the bats destroying the probes.

Currently playing as summoner in early hardmode, tried fighting dreadnautilus and lost, it probably was buffed as i used 1:1 the method shown
Summoner Is good for event farms like frost moon, pumpkin moon, etc

great tutorial i use all your class guides but it doesent work well in 1.4.4 in a master mode world
Imo imp staff is pretty trash if you play summoner. I personaly prefer vampire frog staff which has lower stats but attacks more frequently and is more reliable imo. I still recall a time I was fighting something and my imp just did nothing because it was behind a one block wall and didn't detect that enemy. Imps also have lower range for what they're attacking meaning that if you play multiplayer frigs will let you maintain bigger distance after hitting boss a few times
The obsidian armour is a better pre hard mode armour now. He doesn’t mention it in the video because it wasn’t in the game back then. Stats: +1 minion, +23% minion damage, +50% whip range and 2 other good stats i forgot 👍

question: if i break 3 shadow orbs, and i teleport to the ocean with the seashell item thing, does the boss follow me to the beach or does it just not work
