I have the "normal farm" and turned the monsters appearance at night at the witch hut 😂 I should turn it off, since they bother me but I think it adds spooky vibes for Seb. Don't worry, Sam doesn't mind 😂
i personally hate the river farm, mostly because I CANNOT GET AROUND IT FOR THE LIFE OF ME and its SUPER inconvenient because you cand just walk in a straight line, NO you have to cross like 5 briges.
I use the hilltop farm, then again I rarely farm and mostly get my money from mining, geodes, fishing, killing any monster that even looks at me wrong, and trying to complete the museum to an almost unhealthy degree.
I love the design of both these farms but the giant pond in the middle of the wilderness is a deal breaker and the weird cliffs in hilltop, though pleasing, are a bit to awkward of sizes to put anything down 🥲
I chose Wilderness Farm for my current one, kinda like it. The pond in the middle and the cliff led me to kinda think of it in quadrants. The monsters always seem to spawn off to the sides of my pathing (I don't know if that is coincidence or programming) so I never have to fight them unless I want to, so long as I keep moving on the paths. Whenever I have nothing to do for the last couple hours of the day, I can catch some Midnight Carp, they seem to come up regularly after midnight in the center pond, but you mostly get trash when the sun is out. Decent spot for some freshwater crap traps, too, catch some snails and make escargot…

I'm ASTOUNDED she didn't say Riverland! I mean, I like it but it's the most hated on. Hilltop is a fun challenge imo.

I like the River farm bc it has islands for certain things makes it easier for me to decorate
Wilderness farm is gorgeous if you decorate it right. And monsters can be turned off.

and there's me picking hill-top for my first play through😭😭 i'm struggling with the crops and layout haha

As a River enthusiast, I really expect her to say Riverland with how juch that farm gets shits on ( i am used to it :') )
