The Terraria weapon that utterly destroys bosses… The Bat Scepter. In this video, I take a look at an incredibly powerful post Plantera magic weapon that is usually ignored due to the slim section of progression it is placed in. Nevertheless, the power of this thing is almost un-matched for this stage of the game, and can make the Lunatic Cultist fight laughably easy, and even carry you through the pillars.

  1. I take every stage of the game super easy, I usually don't even bother fighting the lunar "event" most of the time and just work on stuff around the world after Golem or the Empress. I've never been very good at fighting the moon lord, I think I've only defeated it maybe twice in my over 2000 hours of playtime, and one of those times was in multiplayer where it's easier. To be fair I only usually play on Expert Mode, but still.

  2. bat scepter is a staple in mage progression
in hardmode i usually go from sky fracture -> bat scepter -> typhoon
    i couldn't live without it

  3. In my opinion the best pre-moon lord weapon is the bat scepter.
Let me explain, the moon lord takes an eternity to arrive (1 minute I guess) And if in you take down the pillar that is in the left, press quick buff and start throwing bats into the air, that are slighly slower than you, you will be able to stack 1 minute of 2000 dps Before the battle even starts.

That means 2000*60= 120 000 of damage (enough to take the eyes in mastermode)

  4. IMO pillar weapons should of been made post moonlord, requiring luminite (and upscaled as such) making you think about what to use against moonlord, instead of picking which out of the two options presented for your class. The sheer variety of weapons post plantera would then actually matter instead of picking your weapon to just replace immediately anyway, especially with cultists being easy enough to beat without even upgrading your weopon at all

  5. Hmm, was this changed? I think I remember when pumpkin moon first came out, this functioned similarly to the aqua scepter, firing a bat looking beam in a straight line.

  6. I was trying to get my hands on a horsmans blade as the final ingredient to my awaited zenith, when this dropped and I immediately threw it out because it looked bad. I beat moonlord and used the meowmere to kill the pumpkings so I thought the bat scepter would be useless. Although it's not insane for the moonlord, it would've been a really fun weapon to at least try and use for low level enemy's and bosses like EoC, King slime, and queen bee.

  7. Once I got it
It stomps EoL, Golem, Cultist and Moonlord
Basically all the bosses in the end game
It was a must get for me in my first real mage play through and it’ll become a must get for more to follow

  8. Tbh I think we need a mandatory boss between Golem and the Lunatic Cultist bc late hardmode goes really fast compared to the rest of the game, and weapons like this are good example of that

  9. Its a bit sad but as soon as your able to grind the pumpkmoon without cheesing, you dont need any cepter anymore… This lets so many nice item go down untouched.

  10. i think, fishron pre mech should be standard-move at least at expert dif. after that, endgame gear is already yours (wings and thypoon or flairon)

  11. This weapon is the most criminally under talked about weapon in the game. I wonder why but anyways it is amazing dps combined with homing makes it a pick up every time I play mage
