I'm still in the early game and bad at fishing. I have one pond and currently I've got lobsters in there so I can give some to Elliot as a gift every so often. :3
3:25 To answer your question, Ms. Lilyy, the word "roe" is pronounced "ROH," with a silent e. It is a homophone of words such as "low" and "go" (it rhymes with them when said aloud, but is spelled differently). I hope this helps! And don't worry; even 1st-language English speakers struggle with a lot of these words. As the old joke goes, "English is a language that follows other languages into dark alleys, beats them up, and rummages through their pockets for loose grammar and spare vocabulary." 🐍
And to answer your question: Woodskip and Stonefish in the early game make good fish pond fish in my experience, since they both provide resources you need in large quantities, which is especially helpful on the Beach Farm (which I, like a fool, am on during my very first farm ever).
Before watching the video I have to bet that blobfish, Ice pip and Lava fish are the best fish to use with lava fish being the best with the 1k+ aged roe you get with each roe. Am looking forward to seeing which is the best
I use the ponds to produce more fish without fishing 😅😅 I’m a lot better at fishing now but still helpful.
Non-Roe items (percentages from the wiki):
Rainbow trout – 0.1% prismatic shard
Super cucumber – 5% 1-3 iridium ore, 5% 1-3 amethyst
Ice pip – 0.7% diamond, 7% 5 iron ore
Stonefish – 0.7% diamond, 7% 5 copper ore
Lava eel – 4% 5 spicy eel, 7% 5 gold ore
Blobfish – 2% pearl
Tigerfish – 2% tiger slime egg
Stingray – 5% dragon tooth, 10% battery pack, 10% 2-5 cinder shard
Don't be worried about pronouncing something "wrong." as long as we know what you were saying, it's fine! most of us don't care.
I gotta disagree there. Icepip makes as much as Blopfish. More then Caviar.
You can use fish ponds as a way to farm fish for cooking too. Or to have a way to get seasonal fish
i have 2 lava eel ponds and two blob fish ponds along with one sturgeon pond and one ice pip pond
5:17 meanwhile ice pip roe who also sold for 560 gold: 🗿
I prefer the huge cucumber.
It's purple, it is difficult to catch, it gives irdium occasionally.
I want to know in what year is your sv farm 😀
I have 3 ponds so far, as I'm in the early game still on the riverland farm, and they all have super cucumbers for no reason besides the iridium in the future. I'm quite close to maxing them out which will give them a five percent chance a day to give 1-3 pieces of ore. That still sounds super appealing to help get my iridium going in the mid game so I'm going for it.
Wielkie dzięki!
R O. Roe.
Like row.
I keep the fish that I need for food…crab for crab cakes, sea cucumber for lucky lunch, eel for spicy eel.
Thank you! I was looking for a good breed of fish to put in my pond. <3
Fyi roe is pronounced (row) you say row uh or row a..lol I think it's great the way you say it, makes you unique
Hiya Ezlizy! I wanted to try to help yoy with that pronouncing problem. When you say roe, or "fish eggs" you don't pronounce the e. It's pronounced row like row a boat. Hope that helps!
i have played for awhile but have never messed with a fish pond before, the whole reason i was going to go ahead and even bother with them was because i was going to make one with sea cucumbers to make lucky lunches with. but this is totally different than what i thought they were for, i had assumed the point of them was to have constant access to certain fish you wanted to fish but instead it sounds like you get other stuff you dont need rather than he fish i wanted :/
Roe pronounced row
this is not right
Sardines are great for making Dish of the Sea which gives +3 Fishing and is way easier to make than Seafoam Pudding (+4 Fishing).
I've been using the cave fish because they occasionally drop 3 quartz which I'd useful when your buying alot of bombs from the desert vender
Rainbow trout can produce prismatic shard
Fish eggs (roe) are pronounced "row", like row a boat. However, you say it how you want. Its your video. ❤ Also, what is your first language, if that's not rude to ask. Thank you!!
This vid is great but I don't think you know what 'efficiency' means
When you drank coffee and ate spicy food and went to the bed I was like noooooo
Don’t worry, even when we have English as a first language, we still mispronounce stuff 😂
But since you were wondering, roe is pronounced the same way as you would say “row”. It’s like how you were saying it, but without the extra pronunciation of the “e” at the end. Hope this helped!
I have a sturgeon pond but want to make a super cucumber rainbow trout blob fish lion fish sting ray lava eel and ghost fish ponds
Roe is pronounced "roh" as in "row row row your boat"… the "e" is silent.
I totally agree with the blob fish and lava eel as being the best. I also built a couple of slime jack ponds (before I had a slime hutch) because I was always running out of slime to make magic bait. So, the slime jack pond has served me well.
The blowfish has been the best for me as far individual production. I’ve received 3 pearls, iridium ore anc their aged roe is more profitable and often for me. Lave eel is great but takes longer.
1:07 can i ask what mod doyou use to fast build like this
Starting a fish pond farm is very different from what you have done. It involves a lot of patience for the number of fish to go up from 1 or 3 to 10 so that a fish pond will become productive and profitable. Fish ponds can be superior to trees or crops because they are self multiplying. The number of fish can only go up if you don't harvest and sell them. You can multiply the number of fish ponds you have by either moving your fish from an old pond to a new one or to just fish them. Initially, players should never do fish ponds in their first year cause they don't generate much cash for building other facilities that are needed to finish all the cc bundles.
i cant figure out what kind of accent yours is.
i like keeping lava eel along with fish used in stat buffing recipes
My ponds so far have blobfish, lava eels, crabs, midnight carp, rainbow trout, and sturgeon, now I plan on making one for the lionfish I just caught.
i have 9 total fish ponds 6 are lava eel for the red geodes, two with stingrays and one with cucumber for lucky lunch. id say about once a week i get 10 -15 geodes from the ponds, each pond giving 5 -10, if im not mistaken.
WHAT THE HELL IS SHE DRIVING IN THIS??????????????
You are playing a mod? There is no tractor in regular game. What mod are you playing?
I built all fish ponds regularly. It took me about one year of in-game time. I was done by Winter of Year 1. As soon as previous one was done being built I started new one. I spent these days collecting resources for the new one. I like all fishes. I like that Blobfish gives you Pearls. Lobsters were the biggest hippies :)))) One day they gave Trash, next day they gave Diamond :)))))) In my opinion all fishes are fun. Except for maybe Dorado. Which always asked me to bring it other fishes to eat 🙁 I love fish ponds in real life too 🙂
