With the addition of the latest 1.5 update, there are a bunch of new challenging quests called Qi’s Special Order Requests. Qi’s Crops is one of them, and at first glance this challenge seems quite difficult and hard to complete. But I will show you how to complete this quest in a very easy way with guarenteed success.

I fished for most of my seeds, you can get up to five or so in a treasure chest, which is pretty useful with the pirate profession and you can get single seeds (like when you get algae or trash from fishing). Got me about 15 seeds a day. I also chopped down my whole tree farm and opened about 280 geodes. I got around 30 seeds from the geodes so if you have some laying around that's a good start. I did nothing but plant and re-plant beans for two weeks without the speed gro so you don't have to use it if you're ok with taking a bit longer.

Great video! Except where you said that you can grow more Qi Fruit so you have them for next time. NOPE. The game deletes them all from your chests, inventory, etc. Currently the only trick, to get around this is to sell all your extra Qi Fruit to Pierre right before turning in the quest, then buy them all back the next day.
5:00 lol the first time the ancient seeds were less valuable than the crop you put in.
My favorite way to get a ton of Qi seeds is to just chopped down all the trees I've grown in the mountain by the train tracks. I get way more than 16 beans that way, that and using the hyper speed gro and the profession change and use the seed maker to double my beans every harvest and that's all I do. .
Here's a tip, don't forget to make a Qi Fruit mask with the sewing machine before the end of the quest, because once you complete the quest the Qi fruit all disappears!! I make two, one for me and one for my horse.
I used these tips and produced about 700 Qi crops. So, yeah. 1000 wouldn't be that hard.
I ended up with that much because I forgot to count… lol
Oh really good to know. I feared the beans were super rare and i didnt think you could put them in the seed maker.
I spend a lot of things to this quest and cant win it oh so sad. It only 17 left on final day. I cry 😭 desperately

This helped me out so much! The first time I tried to do this quest I had no idea what I was doing and didn't have enough space to plant the darn things. Things went so much smoother this time and for a second I actually thought I failed because all the fruits vanished but nope, I just completed it super fast!
I always enjoy the info. but these titles bro lol. "0 effort" proceeds to run the entire volcano dungeon and have to break every rock lol
The highest probability of getting beans is cutting weeds, breaking rocks, and killing insects. That means the best way to get beans is to hit the normal mines from level 15 to 30. I used a combo of monster musk and miners treat. I also used bombs and explosive ammo as well as my combined napalm ring and slime charmer. I end up leaving the mine with anywhere from 15 to 30 beans per run. I finished the crops with 12 days left to spare.

Hate this quest, not worth the time effort or money
Bonus tip, go to the shop and buyback any left over fruit after the challenge has ended. This is currently the only way to carry over some fruit. Fruit and seeds anywhere else will be deleted once the challenge is over. This may eventually get patched, since other carry over systems have also been patched.
I got over 100 Qi Beans on the first day. I had a stack of 900 Omni Geodes from hunting Iridium in Skull Cavern. I took them all to Clint on day one, and got all those Qi Beans. I also made sure to use the Geode Crusher trick to increase my yield whenever I got a stack of 5 Qi Beans from one Geode.
thank u for the advice!! i was getting worried because i havent broken 100 qi fruit yet and its the 11th but this makes me feel like itll be more than possible to pull off 🙂
the problem is not to grow them or get them even i personaly save hundrets of geods and open them at this quest to get 40-50 of the seeds
the problem is to remove half your farm just for this quest
i personaly skip it, it's not worth the loss in money and time to recrop everything.
When adding fruit to the seed maker do you only get one back? Or any veggie or fruit? I thought you would get more then one back. Love your videos and all your tips. Really helps. I just finally opened Ginger 🏝…
My seeds, seedlings, and fruits disappeared once the quest timed out. 😒

Oh how I wish I had watched this video BEFORE failing at my first attempt at this quest. I did use the seed makers, but only 4 of them, and also delux speed grow, but even though I have managed to acquire many more seeds in the regular mines it just wasn't enough in the end.

Qi crops actually grow in the winter, so feel free to plant them on your farm during the winter when you wouldn't have normal crops in your space.

Just accept this quest with only 9 days time.. yeah i'm just gonna give up this gime and attempt next time 👍🏽
Its easier to get those at skull cavern. I'd get like 9 seeds at volcano mines yet at skull cavern I'd come out with double that or triple on a good day. I completed that quest in 12 days.

17 days? I had 14, and I accepted it in the evening – so really only 13 days 🙁
I have collected 230 seeds by honestly searching for them all over the place. Luckily I planted a forest to replenish my woods supply to make more kegs. There is where I got most of my seeds.
It never crossed my mind to use the seed maker.

Also a kinda cheaty advice is to sell your remaining fruits to pierre on the day you finish the quest so you can buy most of them back the next day and make it easier to do this quest the next time it comes up
I hadn't found a single seed in 11 yr played. I'm playing on my Kindle Tablet. I know there is a lot I can't do on my tablet and because many of these videos are played on PCs it would be nice if video's included what you can and can't get.

I got the qi fruit quits but only for 10 days why is that😭
i like to have a lot of lava eel ponds so i can stack up on red geodes, then when i start the bean quest i just break them until i get beans then use the geode crusher to get more. works amazing because you occasionally get 5 beans from one geode.
I didn’t know the quests can vary in length of dates. I accepted it soon I entered the room. And it was 17 days!!! I’m missing out bunch of days
I physically can’t go for this task because my entire finger island farm and greenhouse is filled with ancient fruit to try to get the golden clock
