Man, the lifedrain is just insane. It’s more powerful, yet easier to obtain than most of the stuff on this list. Wish it got the recognition it deserves.
I found the Life Drain after not knowing about it's existence in my first expert crimson world with a friend

For me its a good weapon
I use it for plantera but it’s trash
Never use nail gun on plantera master mode for the worthy

You forgot zenith, the zenith is a really strong weapon but I feel nobody recognises it potential
Ive been using spirit flame for so long it helped me beat eol
The piranha gun is kinda underrated too and it is great because it carries you through enemies and you only have to dodge when using it
I didnt know about the life drain cuz after grinding in the crimson I saw it on the ground right where i just killed a blood crawler, and thought it was a bad pre hardnode weapon
I definitely don’t see enough people using the sky fracture
Abigail is not op, it is not completely useless for short period of time

Honestly some of these weapons, like the nail gun, I often see as must haves. I don’t grind for stuff often, usually only when I think something is necessary for a run, but stuff like the nail gun, the laser mini gun, the charged blaster cannon and the spirit flame are cornerstones of any runs I do of their respective class.

Thats why i preach a crafting list like in modded or minecraft. To see everything you can get just not using the guide for specific shit. You could keep it for the guid and make it like something u have to unlock but getting an item. It unlocks all the crafting stuff for the block or item permanently for the character.

Abigail's flower is great for early hardmode. if I target a specific enemy with the firecracker, and my build is ALL abigail based, it dies in seconds
All of these but the ghost require boring ass farming, or the blessing of RnGeesus and suck ass.
my only issue with the lifedrain is the misleading name, it really makes you think its going to be a lifesteal weapon but then it isnt and you are disappointed
I've used the spirit flame and while it took forever to make because the desert spirit lamp just took forever to drop for me but it was worth it it made the twins and skeleton prime very easy
Wheres the bananarang,it shreds to mechanical bosses more the the Megashark and Daedalus Strom bow.
Spirit flame carried me through the twins, just run away and it'll do all the work

Spirit flame? What a trash weapon. I used with max damage outfit pre mech, and I couldn't even take destroyer, not counting duke, which in the end i took with disk of light,and oh boy,its op weapon,everyone should use it
Just kill destroyer,craft it,and don't worry until golem
sky fracture is a good alternative to the spirt flame of world doesnt have an evil desert

I am extremly late but one of the most underrated weapons is the whip made with the frost core as it can wipe the destroyer in seconds and carry you all the way to golem shreadding through plantera with ease just like with the destroyer
The life drain is good but the only problem with the life drain is the mana it drains my mana so quick making it hard to use I have 200 mana yet it still drains it fast
Possessed hatchet. I know people know it's powerful but to me still isn't recognized as much as it should be. I took expert moon lord with it on a melee playthrough.
I dont think the the zapinator, spirit flame and nail gun are underrated. I think they are just absurdly rare and thats why nobody uses them, because its just not worth the pain of grinding for them. especially if you're the spirit flame or zapinator. theres nothing you can do besides sit in a bed and pray
but honestly, for most people its probably not that bad. I just have EXTREMELY bad luck, it took me 4 hours to get a sandstorm to spawn. its not fun

Lightning
I love the Spirit Flame but obtaining the Forbidden Fragments or even the Desert Lamp can be a pain. I’ve noticed that getting it to sandstorm in your desert to spawn the Elementals is extremely rare. Either that or I’m just unlucky.
Titanium pickaxe is great. You ought to spend far more time in pre mech. We're not speedrunning so I spend hours in pre mech
