It's hell on the switch.

I'm playing on Steam Deck, and I haven't figured out what button to press to reel in the fish yet. 😅

I found this video as I just started playing Stardew Valley and I'm having so much trouble with the fishing. How does your green bar stay with the fish? For me, one click send the bar flying upwards. I get what I'm supposed to do but it seems impossible.
Fishing is truly obnoxious
I feel stupid. when i'm fishing, i stand there and I get the exclamation point but never the "hit". it's very rare. am I doing something wrong?
any idea how to add bait to the fiberglass rod in the Switch version of the game? I can't do it!
fishing is so hard, some fish like pike always goes up and down really fast and this pisses me off
so am I keep clicking the mouse/C key or am I holding it when it is behind the fish? I'm still confused 😩
i cant keep my bar on the fish i go up or down but not just resting on it in the middle.
how do you do that?
I never do the community center because of the fishing.

Use the training Rod I still suck at fishing. I despise the mini game
