I Survived 100 Days against the Sculk Horde – and this took everything I had…

The Sculk Horde knows all, it grows, it hunts, and it wants to add you to the collective… This mod takes Minecraft’s Sculk and makes the Warden look like a teddy bear with Sculk Ravagers, Mites, and the Enderman who will obliterate you with a sonic blast. This mod will consume the entire world unless you fight back… can you survive?

Immediately uses important resources on short term in order to fight back

The mod is already very unfair, the enderman in particular is not something you can deal with in vanilla without being cruel, and completely switching it up on him, but the short term focus gave a lot of unnecessary trouble here
Lotsa resources here shoulda been done with like ages before, if you cant use mending on anything that isn't loot an iron pickaxe with fortune should do just fine, 2 or 5 diamonds at most and it would go through the whole 100 days given the mining rate, and it only got scarcer to find it whenever you broke more of it around your base, gold was used up even when mentioned that you weren't expecting the nodes to be destroyable, which made it an excursion that only led you to have even less stuff to actually take it down later

Gotta test how the AI works out on it, but Sculk Endermen are pretty much just wardens in an always even worse scenario for fighting them, Wardens aren't nearly as hard if you are prepared, if at all, a slowness potion, flat terrain and timing can pretty much make killing them from a challenge into a slight struggle for 30 seconds where sure, you need to focus, but you won't be in danger if you don't mess up heavily (I suggest making a creative world and taking a go at seeing with how little gear you can beat him, his attack patterns and AI make him feel like a boss from a normal game would, I especially liked gaps + unenchanted netherite, very fun compared to even most modded bosses, no gear is doable but at least one melee hit survival per full health bar feels more fun for me personally), this has less weaknesses due to being something you fight head on as a boss, where various obviously exploitable windows aren't really designed in, so that prep, not really doable here, but not as many strengths, with one major disadvantage, melee, aka, iron golems should actually be much better against them considering how difficult and dangerous other methods are, that they rely on resources necessary for fighting the sculk, not to count even aren't available against this guy, I'd take my chance with them, you really only need like, 2 veins per golem so it shouldn't be too hard
Villagers should be sent up with rail carts, especially easy if mineshaft, with the sculk purifier, they're pretty much safe
Badlands is Heaven without the nether, with villages just being targets as long as they're loaded up and the self imposed rules not even allowing for librarian trading, exploration should prioritize badlands over anything else, warm biomes are a go

The game is exponentially easier the more counters you have since their overall mass increases but the localized rate remains the same after the first few days, so fighting them back is 90% resources, rather than reconnaissance or defensive maneuvers that were focused on, their difficulty wasn't progressing on a given area since pretty early at most 3 or so visit to the spawn, the localized difficulty was as hard as it got, danger mainly came from trying to raid it rather than it being necessarily harder, with the only harder challenges within the entire mod than a fully developed horde being the raid and the main node, as well as any end cities if those are infected, otherwise, it only gets easier, and the usage of time let it stay harder for an overwhelming amount of time, challenge is definitely doable but planning ahead is necessary

  2. 1:50:23 The music you heard in game was a new 1.20 music disc called relic, it was played by a mob that spawned in with a sophisticated backpack with a jukebox upgrade and a music disc.
This happened to me before too but in a cave and the disc was 11……
I WAS TRAUMATISED. I thought herobrine infected my world or something

  3. Kinda seperate, but, recently found a modpack that includes the skulk horde (thankfully not on world gen, you have to open the skulk tomb first) known as The Everlasting fog, adding cavedweller, night dweller, herobrine and about a dozen other mods that have made my survival rather… precarious so far haha
