In normal mode its much easier and much more effective to use vampire knives whitch can face tank the destroyer

For anyone trying to do this now, a vital crystal also helps. Just drop a heart crystal into shimmer for a permanent regen buff
Palladium armour and daudules stormdow
I think currently shadow armor needs a passive rework 15 percent movement speed is useless against majority of the bosses when you do fight queen bee skeletron wall of flesh and besides that you can get molten post eow I don’t completely agree with crimson armor being superior unless your plan is to tank in a solo run
you can also throw a crystal heart, food item, and other related items into shimmer which will give permanent buffs
sunflower and driad buf could help to.
